Weary, defeated and famished from the festivities of Sziget, my friends and I happened upon this quaint Indian restaurant, seeming like a bastion of hope to our ravaged insides. Conjurings of a luscious, flavourful chicken korma in my brain caused a plethora of salivation in my cotton mouth. Alas, no korma. So we all decided to go with the safe option of a tikka, and to our disgust (and grumbling stomachs), it took an entire hour for the server to come out with some food. Actually, the aforementioned server only brought out my food. It took a further excruciating 10 minutes for the lads’ food to arrive. But, I digress. Back to the food. The naan was top draw, a symphony of pungent garlic flavour on a crisp, fresh piece of bread. The rice was underwhelming, the chicken...the chicken had no sauce. I felt like a beggar trying to get my greasy paws on a measly bit of sauce to slap on the plate. A pot of pretty decent sauce came out, and we tucked in. Finally satiated after the longest hour of our lives. To conclude, the food is above average, the place average, the service...
Read moreA restaurant which does not accept criticism. I would score less if I could. Our order of 2 dishes got mixed up and the food was bland. They invited us to have another replacement dish and we still did not think the food was extra. We enquired about the dish amount being replaced so that we would know if we should buy more food somewhere else. They did not like this. We paid the full bill amount on our first order and they charged us more than the bill under the pretense that they did not have change and did not even ask if we were okay with it. Google review is a platform where you can review restaurants according to your experience. My experience was bad and so I said it. I am not the first one saying your food lacks authenticity. I have the right to want value for what I spend, whether this restaurant likes it or not. P.s to the restaurant: Your reply is unsollicited. You have made up stories...

Considering we love gastronomy but really not experts: The taste of the food is avarage comparing to the best indian dishes we ever tried in Glasgow and in Bratislava. (menu was: tomate soup, mix veg pakora, chicken korma, cook`s spicy chicken, rice, different naans, lassis) The service is slow. It feels they simple dont have enough(the right?) waitress/es and/or cooks to manage the place.
A more general note, also dont understand why indian restaurants in Budapest dont use chicken meat with bone(leg, wing etc.) for sauce dishes. It would be much tastier than the dry breast.
The interior design and the indian music they...
