Probably the best burgers in town, in my humble opinion much better than Zing or Ring. Decent selection of beers, bonus points for having Paulaner too. I also really liked the garlic-based dip. The staff were very friendly both times we were there and we got our food pretty fast, even though the place was full. All in all there's little to complain about. Still the chairs could be more comfortable and there should be more warning about sizes. I'm a big guy, but I wish I ordered small instead of medium the second time I was there. I ate everything because I couldn't resist it, but it was too much for me, I kid you not. Luckily the side portions are somewhat on the smaller side. The atmosphere is rather typical for a burger joint, but the staff is friendlier and there's table service. I'll be back, but I'll go with small next time (again).
Read moreLet me start with the fact that I am highly surprised by the high review rating of this place. To be fair, it is not incredibly bad but with all goodwill at best mediocre. But let's cut to chase:
Ambiente: On the good side: It's clean and orderly. Which is already something. Unfortunately that's all what can be said on the positive take. It is very loud, hectic and gives more the impression of a train station where all trains are in delay. The continuous in and out of wolt and other delivery drivers with big bags doesn't help to improve the situation. Sitting, relaxing, enjoying beer and food is impossible.
Food: The food is okay. It took quite some time to get it ( we are talking about an early Wednesday evening and a meal for 2 people). It was ... regular food. No highlight, nothing you don't get at any other place of all the plenty beer and burger joints in the city. Also, it was warm at best close to be cold and not enjoyable.
Service: A balance between polite and indifferent. We got our beers quite quickly. Then we had to wait quite some time to get the attention of the waiter. As mentioned before, waiting for the food did even take longer. And as also mentioned before, it is not really the place where you can just have drink and a pleasant conversation while waiting for your order.
Summary: Not recommended, not going there again. There are too many better alternatives in...
Read moreDropped in for a quick bite in October: Place has an outside terrace and a pub-style interior, nothing fancy but it works. The problems started when 10 seconds after stepping inside I got 'interrogated' by one of the staff members. There is a difference between being attentive and being pushy, unfortunately this gentleman was not clear on that difference... I got a small craft beer and a pulled pork sandwich. The beer was of the overly sweet, malty type, without a hint of foam/crown. Not terrible, just generic - I hope the rest of their home brews turned out better! Where things really fell apart were when the sandwich was brought out - at almost 2000HUF, you can't serve a flavorless and dry (how is pulled pork dry?!) topping between two pieces of flaworless and horribly dry bread! An insult to the pulled-pork sandwich name, and an insult to tastebuds. Should have gone for the...
