Bobo Restaurant — Restaurant in Budapest

Wonderful lunch in front of a beautiful and tranquil garden. Location is good. The food was delicious, though I hope to get more idea of the descriptions of Bobo Mono and Bobo Floating Island on the menu. I appreciate the waiter helps me turn off the ceiling which impressed me with the detailedness of customer care and technology.

I was looking for tokaji wine to pair the desserts and the sommelier, Mάτyάs, gave me a highly professional recommendation and explained the unique terroir of Tokaji region. He is very passionate, sincere, earns WSET qualification, speaks fluent English and offers me world-class services. The wine collection is great, I highly recommend wine pairing with the nice food.

It is absolutely a place to visit in Budapest. I strongly recommend and definitely want to come back. I gave some constructive suggestions for the rooms for improvement and sincerely wish them earn some fine dining awards...

Simply one of the best places in the world for a pleasant and calm summer lunch with close friends and family. Lunch is served in a grand, beautiful garden. One of these restaurants when at its best, you feel that absolutely everything is done to give you a supreme experience - from recruiting to location, service, food, wine, chairs, gardening - you name it. I've been coming here around 30 times the last few years, however the kitchen has deteriorated somewhat. Some examples. 1. The vegetables to the tuna steak had that apalling taste of old re-used cooking oil. Had it been barbecued on grilled on an uncleaned grill? 2. The sitrus lemonade was a 3 star in 2022 vs. 5 stars before. 3. The ice latte is so so. Coffee is getting so good around the world, not least in Budapest, so it may be time to step up the coffee making at Bobo too. No filter coffee available. 4. Too much cream in the soups. Conclusion: Anyway....

Sometimes you dine at a restaurant that makes you feel blessed. Bobo is such a place. The ambiance, the food, the staff. Everything is up to the highest standard. The waiters and two sommeliers are all very experienced and friendly. The young female and experienced male sommelier have great passion for their craft. We learned a lot about Hungarian wine culture and my parents and I even got the chance to taste an exclusive Hungarian wine of which only 177 bottles are made. Having dinner at Bobo is more than just consuming food, it’s a complete and unfortgettable experience. It’s truly special that you can enjoy such a great meal in the idyllic and beautiful garden of Bobo in a big city like Budapest. We are grateful for our amazing time at Bobo and we will definitely return when we visit...
