I usually frequent this cafe because I used to love it, but after the waiter was incredibly rude to my friend, I'm not visiting again. So I invited my friend to come with me to study and we sat down and I ordered my usual cappuccino. My friend told me he'll order his drink after mine. At the register, the same waiter asks me, "What will your friend have?" and I tell him he will order in a bit. When the waiter brings my cappuccino and he looks at my friend and bluntly asks him why he doesn't want to order. At first, we thought he was making conversation. My friend tells him how he likes to read a little first and order after 10 minutes to motivate himself. The waiter said and qoute "This is not a university," and we're like, okay? dont worry about it? The waiter proceeds to explain how he has bills to pay, and he needs to pay for gas and electricity and that the bills dont pay themselves. This proceeds for a good few minutes. After this encounter, we immediately left without saying anything because the whole thing felt so weird and off. Note that 1- I usually frequent this place 2- I already ordered for myself, so it's obvious that we are paying customers. 3- It has barely been 5 minutes since we arrived. 4- It's normal for students to study in cafes?. 5- People take time to decide what they want to order, especially if it's been a mere five minutes Lastly, I am 100% sure that if my friend was lightskinned the waiter would have smiled and said something along the lines of "ill bring you a menu and I'll be back in 10 minutes for your order". That is an appropriate and respectful response instead of the uncomfortable and the out of pocket situation he put us through. I dont expect anything out of this post but it really really upset me and I regret not saying anything to the waiter's face but I was so shocked at the moment that I literally...

Ok this place has lot of thing to consider:

The orange juice was delicious. The bread quality of the sandwich and the tomatoes, the basil, the cheese of the capresse was absolutely delicious. It felt everything extremely fresh.

The staff super warm and kind, super nice 👌🏻

And the design and aesthetic if inside it’s so cozy ♥️

If you are looking to grab a good coffee, food, study, read a book or use your computer (they have plug 🔌) definitely is this one.

Super happy with this one, I will get back next time...

I just came to this place to go-work with two of my friends and we had to leave right away. The owner said we could not drink our own water, since they sell it. He also said he will charge us extra for the tap water. Owner didn’t allow me to stay if I don’t order something, even though my friends were dining there already. The owner was exceptionally rude and unwelcoming. Notably do NOT...

This was the best coffee shop I've ever been in (so far). Not only is the atmosphere cozy (love all the books here, even if I don't know the language), the staff friendly and caring, but the coffee is excellent. I absolutely loved their avocado toast (lovely avocado) and their cocoa roll was SO GOOD it was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Definitely coming back when I can and definitely recommend.

One of the best quality and best atmosphere coffee shops in Budapest! They have two types of beans to choose from, the coffee is prepared very well, and you can taste the quality. It’s a cool space with books on the wall and assorted seating. The workers are friendly and it’s a nice space to sit and enjoy with friends or get some work done. Highly recommended!
