PHO1993 — Restaurant in Budapest

recently moved to this neighborhood and had the chance to try pho 1993. Before coming, I read some negative reviews saying that their food was made from pre-packaged ingredients bought from Metro, so I was curious to see for myself.

The result was far beyond my expectations. The side dishes, like fried prawns and fried squid, were clearly handmade ,you can tell because the pieces are not all the same size or shape. The staff even showed me how everything is carefully prepared and neatly stored ,all made in-house.

I truly believe some of the negative reviews came from competitors trying to damage their reputation, because the restaurant is always busy and the food quality is outstanding. The staff are friendly, sincere, and genuine, and I really admire how the owners respond openly and confidently to unfair criticism.

What can I say!! The absolute BEST food we’ve ever eaten in Budapest, in fact, the best Vietnamese / Asian cuisine that any of us have had the pleasure of eating in our lives! We are avid Asian food fans, but this has topped them all. Unbelievable food, outstanding service, super fast and HOT, tasty, authentic dishes to die for. We ate here 3 out of 6 nights and wish we’d eaten here every night. We tried a 5* Asian restraunt in the centre on Monday as Pho 1993 was closed but it was not a patch on this place. Thank you so much for looking after us, if anyone wants the best Asian food in Budapest, a nice flat stroll to the south of the city, or a super quick taxi will get you to the most amazing hidden gem of Budapest. There are a handful of Vietnamese cuisine restaurants available in Budapest. I stopped by this one with the hopes to get a pho fix. Unfortunately, their broth is meat-based so there isn't really an option for vegetarian pho (hence the four stars for 'food'). I ordered their summer rolls and noodles instead. The summer rolls were my favourite. Decent amount of fillings and nice tasty sauce.

There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The restaurant is located in a quiet-ish street, so it was nice to sit outdoors during the summer....
