A Mesmerizing Culinary and Cultural Oasis in the Heart of Budapest

I am planning to be there today. Best regards, RAMIL01

Harat’s Pub & Brewery in Budapest is nothing short of a masterpiece—a place where the soul of Europe harmoniously dances with the vibrant spirit of Asia. From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in an atmosphere that feels both warmly familiar and thrillingly exotic. The décor is a visual symphony of rustic charm and modern elegance, with wooden accents, soft lighting, and eclectic touches that whisper tales of distant lands. It’s a sanctuary where every corner invites you to linger, laugh, and lose yourself in the moment.

The culinary experience here is nothing less than extraordinary. Harat’s masterfully bridges continents with a menu that dazzles the palate—succulent European classics meet bold, aromatic Asian flavors, each dish crafted with precision and passion. The craft beers, brewed on-site, are a revelation: rich, complex, and bursting with character, perfectly complementing the diverse menu. Pair a pint of their signature lager with the tender, spice-kissed Asian-style ribs, and you’ll understand why this place is a gastronomic gem.

But Harat’s isn’t just about food and drink—it’s a celebration of life. The live music elevates the ambiance, turning evenings into unforgettable journeys of sound and joy. The staff, attentive and genuinely warm, treat you like family, ensuring every visit feels special. Whether you’re here for a romantic dinner, a lively gathering with friends, or simply to savor a quiet moment with a book and a brew, Harat’s wraps you in its magic.

In a city as enchanting as Budapest, Harat’s stands out as a beacon of creativity, flavor, and heartfelt hospitality. It’s more than a restaurant or pub—it’s a destination that captures the essence of cultural fusion and pure delight. Bravo to the team for crafting an experience that lingers in the heart long after the last bite and sip. An absolute must-visit! 🌟

When we arrived in, the barman/waiter took us to our table and left - no pleasantries, no offer of a drink or no word that he would come back to take our order. It was far from an Irish welcome.

The table itself was sticky. A waitress arrived who was nice, she wiped down the table (upon request)and took our order. She was helpful especially with the language barrier.

While the bar and entertainment were good, we were disappointed with the food...or should that be, the lack thereof. We ordered fish and chips for dinner. What arrived was 4-5 battered fish pieces (acceptable) and 4 small wedges..not even the chips/fries that was described on the menu. The fact that we could count the wedges/chips on one hand was beyond disappointing! My poor sister was worse off as she only got 3 and a half wedges. When we said it to the waitress she advised that 'that is the portion size'. (Smallest portion we've ever seen in this type of setting!)... And if we were to get more chips/wedges, they would come at a price. We weren't bothered at that point as the fish would have been gone by the time the extra portion would arrive.

We will not be recommending or returning...

I recently visited Harat’s pub and was impressed by its authentic Irish charm and cozy atmosphere. With a four-star rating, the experience was generally enjoyable, though a few aspects could be improved.

Starting with the drinks, the Irish beer selection truly stood out. The pints were perfectly poured, rich in flavor, and undeniably authentic. Whether you’re a fan of Guinness or looking to try something unique, this pub delivers on its promise of quality Irish brews.

The food, while tasty, didn’t quite live up to the same standard. While the flavors were enjoyable, it was evident that some items were pre-prepared and reheated. For instance, the bbq ribs was hearty and comforting, but the texture suggested it hadn’t been freshly made. Some parts were cold .Still, the portions were reasonable, could be bigger as well.( check pictures )and the presentation was pleasant.

However, the real sticking point was the pricing. While the quality of the beer justifies its cost, the food prices felt inflated for what was offered. For example, a simple stew and bread felt overpriced, considering it wasn’t freshly prepared. For a pub, this aspect was disappointing and could deter regular visits.

That said, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the pub’s lively atmosphere made for an enjoyable outing. If you’re stopping by for a pint or two, you’ll have a great time. But if you’re planning to have a full meal, be prepared for a slightly higher bill than expected.

Overall, a good spot for drinks, but the food and pricing could use some fine-tuning. It’s bit too expensive 7€ a pint.

Hello, everyone! Such an awesome pub! Lots of TV screens, an interesting menu, and cool, fun waitstaff! I’d especially like to mention Kirill (the manager) and Valeria (the bartender). Everyone is very hospitable. Yesterday, I attended a quiz night—there were 150 people!!! And they managed to serve everyone quickly. The kitchen was working non-stop, the taps were pouring fantastic beer (I recommend the unfiltered Erdinger) and Aperol Spritz. Highly recommended—a cool, fun, and friendly spot in the city center! Good luck, guys. Best regards, RuAMIL01.
