You can't choose your family or your customers I guess. Yesterday in Caledonia to watch the rugby. A large group of Northern Irish Republicans replete with Bobby Sands tatoos. Booed Ireland 's Call Sung various soccer style songs with maybe happily indecipherable lyrics. By half time were all just staggering about screaming nonsense into each others faves. The match long forgotten. I'm Irish and was with the local Hungarian team I coach. Great bunch but these bar still Republican 's sitting right beside us never sought to interact with any locals. Great Craig. It's a pity because the Caledonia is a well run place with friendly well trained staff. Good pub food and drink. The manager went out of his way to find me a chair to sit on for example. If you are looking for food the main highlights are the simple but filling chips & cheese, edinburger(absolute class burger) and the BBQ ribs. Great range of beers cider and wine. They specialise in whisky and have a great selection of Scottish, Japanese, Taiwan and even great Irish whiskies.

We went in here on a Sunday night because from all the reviews it looked lively and like a great atmosphere. There was only 2 people in this huge bar when we arrived and we felt like we had to whisper it was so quiet. I asked for a spiced rum and ended up with some caramel tasting rum which was just awful. EDIT: I asked for a captains Morgan which you didn't have but he said there was a spiced rum alternative and to me and my partner it tasted like caramel personally.
