I'll give it two stars just because of the extremely rude and disrespectful girl working there. I got an orange juice and the guy in the cashier was super nice, I asked him for the toilet and he explained to me. When I got to the toilet (I went to the staff WC by mistake) there was this blond girl putting some make up on. She shut up the door in my face so I thought I had to wait her to finish with her make up. Five minutes later I came back (thinking again that it was the public toilet) and she was still there. She came out so I was about to enter into the wc when she was extremely rude and unpleasant, without even looking at me, and "told me", somehow, that it was staff toilet. I apologized to her and ask her for the public one. She didn't even reply, she ignored me walking from one side to another without answering me while I was waiting for an answer or just someone to tell me where the toilet was. I asked her again and she said nothing looking at me super unfriendly. Finally she entered into the kitchen or whatever it was and again, closed the door right in my face. I had to come back and ask again the nice guy again for the public toilet. It was almost next to the staff one so she just didn't want to help me at all. It never happened to me before, in any place, any country, any different background, with such a rude attitude from another young girl, and especially never from the staff, with something so easy and naive. I found it so disrespectful, zero cooperative and really unpleasant. It is the first time I write a negative review and it's because I don't think we should treat eachother as if we were nothing to them. The guy in the cashier, the other girl setting the tables for the opening time and the guy in the kitchen very nice people I...
Read moreThis cafe is suprisingly the most innovative in flavor that I've experienced in Budapest so far and on top of which tastes amazing! Wish they had a location in the city center, but it would be hard to go around and experience other coffee house around. I tried the creme brule latte to-go, waiting for my bus and was suprised when the barista pulled out a small troche and started carmelizing the sugar on top 😭 before sealing the lid. Almost more suprising was how it tasted EXACTLY like the creme brule! I don't know how they manged that flavor with the expresso - coming back I tried the tiramisu cappuccino, and asked them to make it into a latte, which they adapted and this time sitting in and experiencing the beautiful visual attached. This one tasted also very similar to it's namesake and just as devine! The ambiance of this place is very pleasant and comfortably decorated and suprisingly bigger then you think with a cute little sitting area outside - though with the fumes in the air from all the busses around its very nice that the space inside is very large! I didn't try the food, but it smells and looks adapatizing. Price is reasonable...
Read moreAfter a brief Google search and reading reviews, four of us planned to have our morning coffee here before meeting our tour guide. That decision turned out to be fantastic. We were amazed at the four people working very efficiently in the smallest area behind a counter. The food was fresh and excellent, and the espresso-based beverages ... the best we had in the city. The owner and master barrista was very friendly and with my broken German and his somewhat better English, we managed to communicate about espresso making. He gave me tips as well as some personal gifts that I'm eager to try. What a great start to our morning. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer. This place will be on my list to come back to when I return to Budapest.
Update: after returning home I tried Cafe Memories self-roasted Ethiopia Yirgacheffe coffee beans. Amazing. Highly recommended to get yourself some...
