It’s probably fine during summer time but it’s absolutely horrendous during the cold days in my experience. The place is heavily advertised as a high-end shisha spot at a premium location. Well… the prices are high enough to fool you but the actual thing is quite the tragedy.
The interior of this bar/restaurant is shocking and looks worse than a school canteen - with weird metal chairs and oddly placed tables.
It’s supposed to be a shisha place, but you can actually only smoke outside (I am assuming it’s a law thing and they actually don’t have the right permits to be a proper shisha place) and you can imagine what this is like in 0 degrees Celsius. If you’re seated in the covered tent area, you’ll freeze to death regardless, because it’s only heated by a tiny little heater, which you can hardly feel even if you sit directly by it.
To elaborate more on the shisha topic - these guys are absolute amateurs. I have nothing against classic shisha aromas, but to actually offer 3-4 of the most basic Al-Fakher aromas, can hardly ever qualify you as a shisha place, let alone a good one. No other brands, no blond leaf, nor dark leaf tobacco, not an option to choose your type of shisha or bowl… I mean it sounds a bit over the top but if you’re gonna do it, do it right… And all of that nonsense while charging 8k (€20)… Borderline insanity for such a low level shisha.
The staff members look like they absolutely hate being there. No smiles, no greeting, hardly speaking any English and will fail to explain any of the “rules” they have before it’s too late.
I’m not even going to elaborate on the quality of the food. Just going to quickly say that whoever rated this place higher than a single star for food, probably has the taste buds of a two year old and eats Doritos and gummy bears for dinner.
I can tell that Budapest/Hungary is not crazy about the whole shisha thing but this place is definitely far away from anything related to hospitality in general.
It’s either a money-laundering scheme or these guys are some serious miracle workers to stay in business.

Read moreThe worst drinks experience of my life! Attempt to trap tourists, with poor service and expensive prices. Ordered 3 drinks, and a piece of cake, ignored my request for tap water but wasn't bothered as some places do it. They offered our drinks to two other tables before they started shouting our drinks order out load, at this point I said that they were our drinks. They brought over another piece of cake that I didn't order, and tried to give it to me, but I assumed this wasn't a gesture of good faith but more of their incompetence. Cake was store bought and stale, and they couldn't even muster any ice with the drinks.
When it came to the bill they added a 12% service charge/tip which we said we refused to pay as in the time we were there it was the worst service I've ever experienced in our life. Then for the next 10 minutes they insisted that it was a tax, then a tip, then a Hungarian standard, then a requirement for their manager. It is written in their menu at the back saying that the final price includes a 12% service fee, therefore all prices in the menu already have this charge applied and they are trying to double charge you. (might explain the already overinflated pricing). We said we weren't paying the additional 12% but just the prices for what we ordered, as service charges are optional and we didn't receive any sort of service. The waiter then said he was going to call the police and went inside. 10 minutes later another waiter came out and tried on the same thing saying it was a tax and then said its only a 2 Euro tip, we said we didn't care how much it was we weren't paying it. I said I will pay for the drinks and cake and no more. Eventually they allowed me to pay for what I ordered without there 'service charge'. No police arrived, no tip paid, just the worst service ever experienced from staff who are purposely out to scam tourists.
(yes all this was over around a 2 Euro tip, but if they are charging for service it actually has to be received, and it was the principle that they are actively trying to...
Read moreI’m hungarian but I’ll write this in english so my fellow foreign friends can understand what my issue was with this place.
When we first arrived at the restaurant NO ONE greeted us, I came up to a waiter and asked if we could sit somewhere, the waiter said sure just please don’t sit at the big table because it’s reserved (sounds fair so far)
First we sat down at one of the tables for 4 people and separeted it so another party of two could sit down if they wanted (there were no reserved sign also none of the waiters had any proplem with our choice when they took our order at the table)
After a couple of minutes of recieving our drinks I realized that the table is so wobbly it will be really uncomfortable to eat our foods so we switched tables.
That’s when NORBI came up to us (still without any greeting or saying hi) and asked if this was our table? I said politely that we just switched tables because we felt really uncomfortable at our previous table. He then lectured me that I shouldn’t have sit and separated the tables in the first place because of a reservation.
Now, I work in hospitality too, I understand it’s super annoying when guests sit at random tables or rearrange the space, but there’s a huge difference between politely asking them to sit somewhere, and lecturing me as we are buddies.
As a waiter YOUR JOB is to manage guests THE MOMENT they set foot in the restaurant, greet them and then sit them down AT AN ALREADY CLEAN WIPED TABLE.
Outrageous how Norbi was talking to me and my mom, I almost felt like I was eating in a buffet rather than a restaurant. We will never come back after this experience but I hope Norbi can learn from his coworkers about manners and learns how to talk to customers so a situation like this won’t happen again.
Ps.: The 2 other waiter was...
