I had the delightful opportunity to visit Nagyi's Crêperie (Nagyi Palacsintázója), and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. This charming crêperie is a hidden gem, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home the moment you step inside.
The highlight, of course, is the incredible variety of crêpes. Each crêpe is a masterpiece, perfectly thin and delicately cooked, with a wonderful balance of flavors. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or savory, their menu caters to all tastes. The sweet crêpes, filled with rich, creamy fillings and fresh fruits, are a dream for any dessert lover. On the other hand, the savory options, with their exquisite blend of cheeses, meats, and vegetables, provide a satisfying and hearty meal.
What really sets Nagyi's Crêperie apart is the authenticity and quality of their ingredients. Every bite feels like a labor of love, harking back to traditional recipes that have a homemade touch. It’s clear that they put a lot of care and passion into their food.
The service at Nagyi's Crêperie is equally commendable. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations, which is a great help for first-time visitors.
To sum up, my visit to Nagyi's Crêperie (Nagyi Palacsintázója) was an absolute delight. The combination of a warm ambiance, mouth-watering crêpes, and excellent service makes it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to indulge in some of the best crêpes around. I will definitely be...

Absolutely awful service – avoid this place! We were a group of six adults visiting Nagyi Palacsintajoza for afternoon coffee. The place was empty, which should have been our first warning sign, but we decided to give it a chance because of its convenient location near the station. Big mistake.
The waitress with black hair was shockingly rude and uninterested from the start. When I waved to ask about seating, she completely ignored me. We seated ourselves outside, and when I went in to ask if we should order at the counter, she barely looked up from her phone, gave me a dismissive glare, and told me to “look at the wall” for the menu. She clearly had no intention of doing her job properly—just killing time until her shift ended.
We felt so unwelcome that we left without ordering anything. This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had. If this waitress is the face of the restaurant, it’s no wonder the place was empty. She should not be working in...
Read moreWhat you receive under the name of "Granny's pancake" is a pancake taken out of a drawer, filled with low quality ingredients stored in objectionable food safety conditions (holders of fillings looked dirty, dairies were kept out of fridge), warmed up together in a microwave.
The server was very arbitrary, didn't ask whether or how much we want from the toppings, this resulted in very cloying sweet and savoury pancakes as well.
Above all, behind a fake kindness, she was rude and negotiating (they already didn't have the layered pancakes we asked for, so she proposed to make a simple one with the same fillings, but asked for the price of the original layered one), and was very offended when I tried to help her understand my non-Hungarian partner ("Thanks, I can understand English, even if I don't look like that.")
Positives? Very good location, open 0-24, so if you get hungry during a night walk near Danube, at least you can have some food on good price. The question is, wether it's worth it, for us it was a waste of money, left everything...
