SaladBox — Restaurant in Budapest

I really don't like that I have to leave a negative review, because whenever I visited, the staff was nice. I tried to give this restaurant two separate chances, once visiting in person, and ordering through a courier the next time.

However, this is seriously the worst Salad Box restaurant I've ever been to.

The proportion of the ingredients is always a gamble, but what's sure is that you'll never get a good amount of add-ins compared to the lettuce, for example - the amount of meat or tuna is ridiculously minimal (which is almost ironic, considering how enormous the not-so-fresh chicken pieces are), there's only traces of feta or cheeses if requested, and even some of the vegetables (like tomatoes or cucumbers) are left in huge, unappetizing pieces. The salad dressing can barely be tasted, if at all. It just seems that they really skimp on the slightly pricier ingredients (which, other than the lettuce, is pretty much all of it), and cut the ingredients in a hurried or inattentive way.

On top of all that, the worst was that the lettuce was definitely not washed properly, as we could feel a crunch under our teeth when eating parts of the salad.

I haven't had any of the abovementioned details occur at any of the other locations, so please seriously consider upping...

I do not see how this place has such a high rating. The place needs some serious cleaning, the tables are dirty, walls have dirt marks all over and the staff don't wear gloves, it is a salad place and strict hygiene practices are required to be followed. We went there on a weekday afternoon, it was empty and had a strong aroma of food. The greens were wilted and person who made the salad had no apron on but a flour and sauce stained t shirt. He used the same bowl and tongs to make the three different salads (nope, not acceptable). I frequently go to this place and i m blown away by the quality of the salads and the exceptional customer service. The salads are incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the variety of toppings and dressings are amazing. The staff are very friendly, and take great care in preparing each order to perfection, Jagadeesh always makes the portion worth the price, great guy. The place is also very clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant dining experience. I especially appreciate the healthy and wholesome food options available. highly recommend.
