Krumplis Lángos — Restaurant in Budapest

We stopped by Krumplis Lángos for lunch during our trip to Budapest, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a relatively small place with tight seating, and it was extremely busy (no surprise given the Christmas markets). Some customers were unsure about where to wait, lingering near the door and unintentionally blocking others from coming in to order. Thankfully, the staff were quick to kindly let them know they should sit down to wait instead.

Between the three of us (my wife, my 9-year-old son, and me) we shared two lángos: one topped with Nutella and the other with cheese. Both were absolutely delicious and very filling! Two portions were more than enough for us at lunchtime, and we probably could’ve managed with just one if my son hadn't insisted that we needed the Nutella one.

Lángos is definitely a must-try snack when visiting Hungary, and I’d highly recommend giving this place a go. There’s a wide variety of toppings to choose from, so there’s something...

Definitely won't recommend this place! The staff was completely unprofessional. They mistook my order - I ordered langos no 10 & 12 but they gave me 11 & 12. I told them that they made a mistake and I ordered something different but I also told them that was okay and I could take what they've made but they insisted they'll make the new one. The new order they made was a disaster. It didn't look like in the picutres at all. They made it in front of me quickly, messy and just so I would get it and go, they put other, cheaper ingredients on purpose (there should be sheep milk cheese but they put some ordinary cheese) and I pointed it out but they ignored me anyway. The langos wasn't good anyway and the prices are way too high for average food and rude and arogant staff. Better go somewhere else with a nice and kind staff.

It was very delicious and I completely enjoyed it. They had a very varied menu with lots of different options and flavors and I ended up choosing number nine. It consisted of sheep cheese, regular cheese, sausage and red onion. It was super delicious and is definitely a shareable item. You could also eat it as a full meal. We stumbled upon it by looking up Langos. and were intrigued by the traditional looking exterior. Food turned out delicious and if I lived in Budapest I would definitely be coming back.
