Disappointing experience — overpriced and chaotic service

Visited with friends last night. I had reserved a table for four. The place was nearly empty — only one table inside and a few on the terrace. We chose to sit outside, but the terrace tables were a bit dirty and unstable. Staff tried wiping them, but not very well.

The menu looked good, with some interesting non-alcoholic drinks. I ordered two sushi sets (around €18 and €24), while my friends ordered three wok dishes. Everything arrived — except my sushi. I waited, but after 10 minutes still had nothing. Staff were barely visible. When I asked, the waiter seemed genuinely surprised and said it would be just a few more minutes. Clearly, they’d forgotten to prepare it.

The food arrived — for everyone except me. Three out of four people at the table were eating, and I was just sitting there with an empty spot in front of me — and no one from the staff seemed to notice. I waited around 10 minutes before finally managing to ask a waiter, who looked genuinely surprised and said the sushi would be out in a couple of minutes. Clearly, they had simply forgotten my order.

When the sushi finally arrived — another 10 minutes later — it was served without soy sauce or a dish to pour it into. Again, no one noticed this either. I had to go inside the restaurant to ask for both, and it still took multiple interactions to get everything I needed just to start eating.

The sushi looked fine, but didn’t live up to the high price. Nothing special in taste — just okay. The scallops were probably the best part.

At the end, the waiter mumbled something about offering us a free drink to apologise — but we had already asked for the bill, and he brought it. Nothing was actually added or deducted.

Final bill for two sushi sets, three woks, and four non-alcoholic drinks? €120. For that kind of price, I expected much, much better.

Won’t be...

Deeply disappointed… We were really looking forward to visiting this restaurant, but our experience was a huge disappointment from the very beginning. A grumpy man greeted us and just pointed to the back of the restaurant saying that our table was there — no welcome at all.

The waiter who served us honestly made me wonder how such a person can work in hospitality. Absolutely zero friendliness or effort. Whenever we asked something, he could barely answer. When I asked him to recommend a cocktail, he simply pointed to the cocktail menu and said, “I recommend these,” but couldn’t explain what they were.

When I asked for a jug of tap water, he said they don’t serve that — only a maximum of two glasses — because it’s not allowed. I would like to inform the restaurant management that in Hungary it is required by law that every restaurant provides tap water to guests upon request.

It’s really sad, because I’ve had some of the best Asian food of my life in this restaurant before. But after this experience, two people have decided never to come back — and I’ll make sure to tell others not to either.

The only positive thing I can mention is the two kind Asian waiters who clearly know how to do their...

I was so excited to have a sushi restaurant open close to home, but my expectations were unfortunately not met. It was probably the worst service I have ever encountered. Within half an hour they didn’t bring us a menu, so we used the one we found on the windowsill. After then finally having our order taken, we waited an hour for our food, after which I asked the waiter if everything was okay. Eventually, our food was brought to us, but they only brought me half of my order. I ended up being left hungry and disappointed.

The serving of the order, by the way, was not at all as beautiful as shown in photos and videos on social media and on the restaurant's website.

I don't know what the reason was, but it felt like we were just forgotten about.

I would have understood if there were a lot of people in the restaurant, but the restaurant was almost empty close to closing time.

Also, several times waiters came up with food for people who didn't order it.

I'm not a confrontational person at all, but here I can't help but leave a review because I was just shocked by this attitude.

I hope that my review will be seen and taken into account in the future work of...

I had the Black Unagi Don and Flying Goose Sushi roll. The Unagi Don was great 5/5. The Flying Goose roll was underwhelming and felt like the only point of the dish was to pack as many expensive ingredients as possible in it 3/5. The Takoyaki was good but the real highlight of that appetizer was the sauce 4/5. The service wasn’t great. A bottle of water took 20 minutes to arrive and we had to ask 2 separate times to get enough glasses. We had the wrong sushi brought to our table before it was taken to another table. The prices are relatively high. Some items on the menu are ridiculously priced compared to other places, some items are reasonable, so just check the right side of the menu too! Overall the atmosphere is cool, but a bit too bright. Music adds a good ambiance throughout the restaurant. A cool restaurant to try out, but I don’t think I will return for another time.

We dined during “Dinning City” aka “Orszag Etterem hét”. The service was very poor, although the food itself tasted quite good. Our order included 1 wrong item (as per attached invoice), and the servers seemed rather careless. We had to wait about 20 minutes for our drinks and another 20 minutes for the main course after the appetizer, which was served without any cutlery. We noticed similar issues at other tables as well, some guests even went up to the bar to collect their own drinks due to long delays. Despite the good taste of the food, I would not recommend this restaurant because of its poor service. Additionally, the payment terminal automatically adds a minimum 10% tip, which cannot be set to 0; another disappointing detail considering the overall experience.
