SUSHI MASTER — Restaurant in Budapest

Overall:

Don’t bother! Where to begin with this atrocious excuse of a ‘restaurant’ whose name should be reported for misleading the public. Definitely NOT sushi masters! This is probably one of the worst I have ever had the misfortune to try. The place is grubby and staffed by kids who are in no way trained sushi chefs. Zero flexibility and a menu not at all reminiscent of anything which can be considered ‘Japanese Street Food’ Those who have highly rated this hole have clearly never had real or even good Japanese food.

What I didn’t like:

• No sashimi • No flexibility with changes eg couldn’t add avocado to a tempura maki roll. When asked why not they shrugged and said ‘I don’t know’ and that it wasn’t Japanese!! Really? I’ve only ever had it in a real Japanese restaurant and there is nothing Japanese about this dump. • Lowest quality sushi rice • Fish is poor quality and definitely not sashimi grade. • Menu is odd and full of weird additives • Hygiene is an issue - no hair covered or aprons worn by the cooks.

Do I recommend going? NO Will I go again? NO Was it good value?...

While the variety of rolls is greater than in any other sushi restaurant in Budapest and they also home some combos/sets that at least sound interesting, the quality fails to deliver. Out of 10 times I ordered from them only 1 was actually good, other times rolls are at least half smaller than on the picture, badly made so you are left unsatisfied and still not full event though the set was 40pc for 2! Very upsetting experience considering that waiting time is usually about 60 minutes and it’s rather expensive for such amount.

I ordered it once, everything was fine. But now I ordered it, it's a horror and not an establishment. I took it with me to order, we wanted to have a delicious dinner, but in reality it was a disappointment. Look at the photos yourself (ruler in centimeters).

The sizes are tiny. The taste is 0 out of 10. Satiety -100/10 (since they are very small). When you take the rolls they fall apart. It is not fresh and not carefully made.

I do not recommend it at all.
