Last Saturday, after a lively time at a local pub, my friends and I stumbled upon Istanbul Turkish Restaurant, a perfect spot for a quick late-night bite. The ambiance of the place, bustling and unpretentious, was just right for our mood - casual and looking for something to satiate our post-pub hunger.
The menu, predominantly Turkish, offered a variety of options. We weren't expecting gourmet, but the food was decent and did the job. It was what you'd call 'okish' - not extraordinary, but definitely good enough to satisfy our cravings. The kebabs and falafels were the highlights, with their authentic flavors giving us a pleasant taste of Turkish cuisine.
Service was quick, which was great considering our late-night hunger pangs. The staff were efficient, ensuring our orders were taken and served with minimal fuss. This efficiency is a big plus for anyone looking for a quick meal without the long wait.
In terms of value, the prices were reasonable. Given the convenient location and the decent quality of food, it felt like a fair deal, especially for a late-night eatery.
Overall, Istanbul Turkish Restaurant is a solid choice for a quick, no-frills meal after a night out. It's not a place for a culinary revelation, but it certainly does a good job of providing a satisfying, quick meal in a lively atmosphere. 4 out of 5 stars for its convenience, efficiency, and...
Read moreIf you’re looking for the right place to eat good Turkish food in Budapest, look no further than Istanbul Török Étterem. Stepping into this restaurant feels like being transported straight to the heart of Turkey. Every dish I tried was a celebration of authentic Turkish flavors—rich, aromatic, and bursting with freshness. From the perfectly grilled meats to the velvety dips and fluffy bread, every bite told a story of culinary craftsmanship.
The restaurant itself is a gem—spotlessly clean, with an inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. Warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, they made me feel like an honored guest rather than just a customer.
For anyone in Budapest craving an authentic taste of Turkey or simply seeking a dining experience that combines delicious food with exceptional service, Istanbul Török Étterem is the place to go. I left not only satisfied but already planning my next visit.
A true delight for all the senses—highly...
Read moreThis place made my impression of Budapest trip overall HORRIBLE. The girl at the counter (who I have no idea how she passed her interview for a service job) was so rude. I asked her what one of the sauces were and she slammed her spatula or whatever she holds onto and just stared at us. My husband repeated the question assuming she didnt understand English very well. And after second question she gave the most annoyed and nasty face as if it was too much for us to ask her what it was. Luckily we are not allergic or have dietary preferences but what if I was. She wasn't suited for the front position where she has to deal with customer service. Lastly when we were paying she threw back our credit card afterwards. So rude. My husband kept his composure but I couldn't help look at her face with amazement and wonder how somebody would want to use her and jeopardize their business. Never coming back never recommending as long as her face is...
