I can't review the food since I didn't even get to enter the restaurant. When we asked for a table for 6 people, the waiter became very hostile, said something in Hungarian, shrugged his shoulders and walked away. His colleague acted surprised but didn't comment on him or our request for a table. We understood we were not welcomed, so we walked away. This happened to us a year ago and initially I believed it was due to the language barrier, but obviously the staff is just very rude and do not appreciate their potential guests. Read moreGreat Hungarian food. Attentive service. Expensive, but worth it. One of the local suggested this restaurant to us. We ordered chicken and braised ox cheek for main course and a traditional Hungarian desert. Thanks to the recommendation of the friendly waiter. Slightly expensive but excellent food. Good portions.

At the end, he explained each item in the bill. He had the the actual amount and amount with 10% tip listed down in the bill. They accept cards. Thanks a lot, he made that evening unforgettable with his...
Read moreWe decided on a ferry boat ride Budapest to Esztergom as a day trip, have lunch and take the train back to Budapest. Luckily, as we got off the boat we ran into a local who spoke perfect English and actually drove us to the restaurant, explained our food needs and that we needed a taxi to the train station after lunch. Another couple from the boat joined us and after a very great lunch, they decided to stay in the town and come back for dinner. It was that good! As we paid our inexpensive bill for a very large wonderful meal our taxi pulled up in time for us to catch our train. I cannot express how kind and sweet the Hungarian people have been on...
