Főtér Bistro Bar is a real find and we absolutely recommend it to everyone visiting the city centre. The combination of location, quality of offerings, and service is truly exceptional. Dream Location: The bar is situated in a fantastic location, offering a view that stretches directly over the main square. There is no better place to sip a coffee or a drink while watching the city bustle. Winning Offerings: While the drink selection is solid, the absolute highlight is their homemade lemonades. We can confidently say that these are perhaps the most delicious lemonades we have ever tasted! Also, for colder days, the hot chocolate is excellent and a real treat. Comfort and Service: The atmosphere is very pleasant. The owners have thought of everything—it's truly great that blankets and a heating lamp are provided at every table. If we don't take in count some uncomfortable situations like staff's attitude or the access to the toilets could be a good place to chill or people watch in the heart of Pécs.

Staff was tired (!?) or bored (!?) on our visit. They didn't try to give as a super experience or a little 'extra' to feel great.

Ordered 3 coffees, milk and water. The coffee was as plain as possible... The waiter (2 guys were at that time) first forgot the milk (served 5 minutes after the coffee) then the water (15 minutes after the coffee). When we mentioned they were not bothered really. Next to our table there was an old lady, who had to wait 30 mins after the soup to get the main course...

When the waiter (who is a sommelier) was told I wanted to try local wine he offered to organise several (small) glasses of white wine to go with my starter and several glasses of red wine to go with my main dish (wild boar) - and explained the origins of each. Both the food and the service were excellent - but the sommelier went 'above and beyond' in championing not only the restaurant but the area.
