We've been there with our friends from the university recently and despite the positive reviews I personally think it was a bit of a letdown. The atmosphere is unique but very much enjoyable. The waiters were polite and very professional. I found the meals overpriced, although I know the recent inflation hits over 20 % but that doesn't mean you should sell your dishes in London prices. I've had a so called moszkvicsslusszkulcs dish and according to my Hungarian student friends that called in their homes "rakott krumpli " . Upon serving the dish was only warm, not hot, in the bottom of the skillet was about 2 medium sized potatoes sliced up alongside with a half ish red onion, in some parts both were crunchy which means it haven't cooked properly. On top of this was shredded smoked pork knuckle meat ~ approximately 100-130g and all this was covered with a ridiculous amount of soured cream... I'm not lying when I say it was more than 30-40% of the entire dish, about 300-400g..for the price of 10/12 worth euros .. it was a massive disappointment, i was literally searching the solid food under the cream. Luckily my friends meals looked better but I still can't see how can you justify the average of 9 euros per dish with that kind of portion size, because although the other dishes looked great, in some cases were quite small. All in all it's...
Read moreIf it would be possible we would put 0 starts. Because of one waiter our experience is the worst! The restaurant is good, because we visit it before. But when my hungarian husband was here with me, the service was good. Today he was not with me anf when the waiters heard that I don't speak hungarian , the service is zero. The waiter who served us is about 50 yo. Bold head, medium height. We didn't feel comfortable to ask his name. Also instead of serving guests he is smoking right next to the entrance door. He looks like he is drunk.
For my baby he even didn't ask if she wants anything. And when I was ordering he even couldn't listen the order until the end.
We would wish to stay longer, but with such a service we wanted to leave before finishing our drinks. I was telling to my sister about this restaurant and how cool is the peanuts on the table here and that u can drop it on the floor. She was dreaming to come here only because of my stories, but nobody even gave these...

Leftovers can be trashed to the floor, because it is used as food for the animals. Food was really tasty and something I have never tried. My recommendation is to order something from “The dishes of the house” section. I had Kacsa mesék (duck tails with strawberry sauce), and Moszkvicssluszkulcs was also great. Prices are more than reasonable for quality of the food and there is no additional or hidden fee charged on the bill. You just pay 450 HUF per person as a fee (for couvert, or peanuts as they have...
