Bazaar — Restaurant in Pécsi járás

We've been here before a couple of years ago, when the food was great and we were excited to return. What a mistake... They must have changed owners / staff, the food was literally INEDIBLE, after a few bites we have both decided that it's not worth punishing our bodies with what they've served us. The "Bazaar burger" was overcooked, chewy and had a weird taste like dishwasher liquid, didn't feel okay to eat it at all. The "camembert burger" was utterly disgusting, and the salad served with it looked like a dish made by a pre-schooler, honestly it was a joke. The lemonade was tasteless and made with frozen berries. We should have noticed other people leaving 75% of their food on the table sooner... Definitely NOT recommended to eat here! They might be okay for a beer but the food is a disaster. Very slow service, takes about 90 minutes to get a burger. When you ask them “where is my food”, all they can say is that “its coming soon”. We have decided to cancel our orders after its been past 90 minutes and the owner comes says he is not canceling our order that we should “calm down and eat before coming to his restaurant”. Absolutely preposterous. Evil as one can be, he refused to speak english with us. Said this is Hungary and we must speak hungarian. Bare in mind, this guy speaks English, well enough to simply communicate.

Apart from the service, my burger was great. One of the best to eat in Pecs. I hope the owner fixes his racial issues and learns from his mistakes and apologizes. Till then no more Bazaar, not for me, nor for my...

It is a lovely gem for both burger and beer lovers with affordable prices. Their staff members are really kind and helpful, and the burgers are juicy, with medium-well done meat patties made of a wide variety of meats from fish through beef and even deer and most surprisingly they bake their own buns and sides. They also have a huge beer menu and a deep knowledge of which beer is the best with which burger, or something from the special daily offer. The atmosphere is also great, with nice decoration combining the rustic charm of breweries, steampunk elements and stylish black and white pictures of people enjoying beer...
