They have good bread, sandwiches and small pastries. They're not crazy expensive, and if you're a tourist coming from the states, they do have English speaking staff. Also, Solfar, The Sun Voyager, is within walking distance from the shop if you want to get some pictures there (highly recommended). If you're landing in Keflavik at 5am, by the time you get your car rental and drive to Reykjavik, this place should be open, so it’s a nice place to grab a small breakfast and coffee. Just be aware that the parking lot in front of it does require you to pay a small fee to use it (go to the machine and print your ticket).

Read morei saw this bakery while waiting for the bus across. it is the best bakery in reykjavík in my opinion. they have many traditional scandinavian pastries that you no longer can find. the rolls are super fresh and the bread selection is huge with a mix of “ modern” and traditional breads. i returned many many times during my stay in reykjavík as this bakery is a gem. i highly recommend to try any marcipan pastries here, as i could not find in any other place...
