I recently visited Blue Tokai where I decided to try their signature Trioccino Frappe. Unfortunately, my excitement was slightly marred when I discovered a hair on top of my drink. I promptly informed the staff, and to their credit, they quickly replaced it with another cup. While I appreciated their responsiveness, I couldn’t help but feel a bit off-put by the mishap. Nevertheless, the new Trioccino Frappe was absolutely delightful—rich, creamy, and expertly crafted—making it a must-try for coffee lovers!

I also explored their variety of teas, including the Turmeric Ginger Herbal Tisane and Organic Himalayan Green Tea. Both were decent but lacked depth of flavor; they were warm and soothing, but not particularly memorable. They served their purpose, but I wouldn't specifically recommend them if you're seeking an extraordinary tea experience.

On a brighter note, I absolutely loved the pancakes served with chia and berry jam—10/10! The pancakes were fluffy and without the cloying sweetness one often finds, allowing the fresh taste of the jam to shine through. Additionally, the Spicy Mushroom Sourdough Sandwich was a standout dish, full of flavor and zest. I also enjoyed the Spaghetti in Mushroom Florentine; it was rich and comforting—a dish I’d gladly order again!

One of the cafe's nice touches is a selection of books available for patrons to read while sipping their drinks, which adds to the overall cozy atmosphere. The staff were polite and clearly dedicated to ensuring a pleasant experience, making the best out of an initial hiccup.

In summary, despite the rocky start with the frappuccino, the overall experience was largely positive. If you’re a coffee enthusiast, don’t miss out on the Trioccino Frappe, pancakes, and the delicious sandwiches! Just be advised that the tea offerings may not impress as much. Had a wonderful experience at Blue Tokai! The ambience is cozy and perfect whether you’re working, catching up with friends, or just enjoying a peaceful coffee break. The coffee (especially their Vietnamese brew) was on point and the food was fresh.
