My recent visit to the Cool Joint left me feeling disheartened and unimpressed. Having fond memories of this place from the 2012s, I was excited to revisit, only to be met with a series of disappointments. It is with a heavy heart that I advise exploring other dining options instead of the Cool Joint. Allow me to elaborate on the reasons behind my disappointment.

First and foremost, the Cool Joint's pricing is unjustifiably high. What was once a reasonably priced establishment now demands exorbitant amounts for mediocre quality food. The increased costs are simply not proportional to the overall experience and leave customers feeling ripped off.

Adding to the frustration, the Cool Joint's refusal to accept card payments is a major inconvenience in this digital age. It is perplexing why they have not embraced modern payment methods that provide convenience and security to their customers. Moreover, their misleading claim of UPI payments not working is both untruthful and deceptive.

To compound matters, the quality of the milkshakes and ice cream at the Cool Joint has suffered a noticeable decline. Once known for their delicious treats, they now opt for inferior ingredients that greatly compromise the taste and overall experience. It is disheartening to witness such a stark contrast from the high standards they were known for in the past.

Considering the combination of high prices, limited payment options, and a decline in the quality of milkshakes and ice cream, I strongly recommend exploring alternative dining establishments. There are numerous other places in the area that offer better value for your money and a more enjoyable dining experience.

I have been visiting this place since 10+ years. Whenever I am near Jayanagar I visit the place as this place is a must visit for good quality ice creams. I am very sure there are lakhs of loyal customers like me who visit this place regularly. Yesterday evening I visited cool joint with my family and I had ordered for 2 ice creams. Cashier denied taking my Credit Card for payment. When I asked for a QR code for UPI payment he said it is not there. He said ONLY CASH. He waived his hand in arrogant behavior when I was offering my card. He said pay by cash or leave. I felt bad, as I had my family with me, there are many customers waiting to get their ice creams, and this behavior is a clear indication that we don't care customers. If you are not there we have 100's of other customers. I asked the cashier to call the Manager of the store or the owner. They did not open their mouth. As I was speaking many other customers also felt the same as I was feeling and they too were upset. In this age of UPI payments, even a small street vendor holds a UPI payment QR code for payment.

I don't know what is stopping them from using it. Is it to save Income Tax, GST etc and collecting only CASH.

If the Owner of this store is reading this, you better start using other modes of payment other than cash as many times people will not have cash readily available.

Ice cream may be good, but if the customer experience is bad, then they will never step inside your shop even if you offer it for free. And mind one thing, it is the customers who have made you and your shop as popular for close to 20+ years, so don't spoil that relationship.
