I recently dined at Dishkeyaun, and my experience was a mix of good food, overpriced service charges, and inconsistent dish quality. While some dishes were well-prepared, others were outright disappointing. Adding to the frustration, they charged me ₹991.50 as a service charge, which is almost 10% of the bill amount—a blatant overcharge and borderline unethical practice.

Ambience & Service:

The ambience was pleasant, and the service was decent, but nothing exceptional to justify such a high service charge. Despite pre-booking with Swiggy Dineout’s 50% off offer, the restaurant still charged an unjustified service fee, which should ideally be optional.

Detailed Dish Review:

Non-Veg Platter – 3.5/5

The platter had a good variety but lacked consistency. Some meats were juicy, while others were dry and overcooked. The flavors were decent, but the preparation was inconsistent.

Kingfisher Premium (Beer) – 4/5

Standard beer, served chilled. No complaints here.

Bacardi Carta Blanca – 4/5

A decent option . The serving size was standard.

Egg Chilly – 2.5/5

This was a major letdown. The egg pieces were too hard, and the sauce lacked balance—too salty and overly spicy, overpowering any other flavors.

Murgh Be Mishal – 3/5

The chicken was cooked well but lacked depth in flavor. The dish was too oily, making it heavy to eat.

Railway Lamb Curry – 4.5/5

One of the best dishes of the evening. Tender, flavorful, and well-spiced, with a nice balance of tanginess and richness. Highly recommended.

Hyderabadi Residence Murgh Curry – 3/5

Not the best. The curry felt watered down and lacked the bold spices expected from a good Hyderabadi curry.

Tandoori Roti (Plain) – 4/5

Fresh and crisp. No issues with this.

Butter Naan – 4/5

Soft and well-cooked. Good texture, but could have been a bit fluffier.

Ghost Bore Biryani – 2/5

Extremely disappointing! The rice was dry, and the meat lacked seasoning. Not worth the price.

Murgh Yakhni Pulao – 3.5/5

A decent dish with well-cooked rice, but the flavors were a bit too mild for my liking.

Final Verdict:

Food Quality: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) – Some dishes were great, others were poorly executed.

Service: ⭐⭐ (2/5) – Not bad, but not worth the ridiculous service charge.

Pricing & Transparency: ⭐ (1/5) – Overpriced service charge and some overpriced dishes.

Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) – Good, but nothing extraordinary.

Would I Visit Again?

No. The unjustified service charge of ₹991.50 and inconsistent food quality make it hard to recommend. I strongly advise diners to clarify service charge policies before ordering. The restaurant must reconsider its pricing transparency and improve dish consistency if they want...

A Bollywood themed restaurant which has a glamorous interior with spacious and comfortable seating, and you will be played some really cool Bollywood songs throughout which is guaranteed to bring back some nostalgic memories!! The place also comes with a dance floor and often has a DJ playing really good beats. At times, the music sways away from Bollywood themes, but shouldn’t matter. The lighting is cozy and comfortable and the A/C is a relief, and while the ambience is great, I did feel that the interiors could have been so much better and creative and more than just statues and carpets.

The food of this place is the real winner! The dishes, be it veg or sea food or chicken or mutton - it was fabulous. The dishes were flavorful, the quantity was good and they felt fresh and expertly presented! I think the food presentation is very subtle and colorful and they do a great job with it and something that’s comparable (maybe even at par!) with the biggest hotel names. The menu is loaded with options, and I surely recommend the sheek kebab (absolutely delightful!) and scotch eggs and chicken chandi tikka along with shrimp bites for the starters. Surely, don’t miss out on the peanut masala - a forever classic. There are loads of veg options too which are great but I did feel that the kushk parda was a bit of a disappointment after all the hype that surrounded it. The fries were average, but everything else we tried was absolutely wonderful!! They have a loaded main course menu too and you will be spoilt for choices!! There are rice items (biryani etc) and roti and some of the yummiest gravies in mutton with a sizable serving of meat!! What more… there are desserts too and surely for me the shai tukuda was the best!! The prices we did feel were tad bit on the higher side, but it was surely worth every penny!!

The place also serves all types of popular beers and liquor along with wines and cocktails and mocktails too! I did feel that the prices were a bit on the higher side but I guess it’s part of the premium we all pay for the experience of the place.

The service is good, and the staff really ensures that you are taken care of. I do wish the pace of getting the dishes was a little more faster, but overall the service experience was reasonable.

PS: smoking isn’t allowed inside but there are smoke zones very close by.

Overall a great place to come with friends or family or even a date and it’s a place that you will not regret...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dishkeyaun in Forum Rex Walk, and I must say, it was an absolutely exquisite culinary experience that left an indelible mark on my taste buds. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for a special treat.

Dishkeyaun boasts a tasteful and contemporary ambiance that strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. The soft lighting, stylish decor, and comfortable seating arrangements create a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're there for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends, Dishkeyaun provides the ideal backdrop for any occasion. The Bollywood statue of Rajkapoor and Nargis in center at this place is something unique.

The service is nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I was seated, the attentive and knowledgeable staff made me feel like a valued guest. They were prompt, courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. Special mention to the General Manager Mr. Roland and the Captain Mr. Bappi who showed us remarkable hospitality and made us feel quite comfortable. And many thanks to steward Mr. Govind who served us was very polite.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. Specializes in traditional Indian flavors & each dish was a work of art, both in presentation and taste. The menu offers options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

I had the pleasure of trying several dishes...I must say everything tasted legit great. The food and drinks will literally knock you off your boring week.

Whether you're a food connoisseur or simply looking for an unforgettable meal, I highly recommend this place. Prepare to be enchanted by their culinary creations and impeccable service. And I can't wait to return for another...
