I wish there was a negative rating. I have never had such a terrible experience in a hotel. The hotel front desk itself stank to begin with. The room looked run down with dust collected on tables and nooks and corners. There was a phone but doesn't work. The bed sheets were so dirty that I had them change but to no avail and I felt like something was crawling on me when I was on the bed. There were no towels or toiletries and when they did bring the towel, there was a hair in it. I had read reviews about cockroaches but ignored. My biggest mistake! When all the lights were out, cockroaches decided to have a party and one of them climbed on me. I swatted it dead but the thought of roaches everywhere kept me up. I barely slept because the only way I could keep roaches at bay was by turning on the lights. On top of all these, the guy at the front desk was rude. When I complained about the problems, he remarked about "you get what you pay for". But does paying less mean bad sanitation?! I thought I was paying less for non-ac room! The other bad thing was that OYO has been marketing wrongly that there is free wifi and complimentary breakfast here but there wasn't. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, even if it means paying...
Read moreSuper-awesome !! I'm saying this only because of its location and very cheap price. The location of this hotel is in Brigade road, which is such a prime location. The area has a lot of food outlets like Pizza hut, Subway, Dunkin donuts, etc. There are also a number of apparel stores. There are a number of restaurant and pubs just outside the hotel. You can enjoy Church Street which is there itself. MG road metro station is a few steps away(5 minutes walk). In short, the ambience outside of the hotel is positively radiant. Now talking about the hotel, it's just fine according to its cheap price. The staff service is polite. The hotel is on the second floor. There's a restaurant there where you can sit anytime and enjoy the view of Brigade Road nightlife. The rooms have a double-bed, wardrobe, TV. Some of the bathroom doors don't lock from inside. You may also find small cockroaches in your room and on your bed. We stayed in a non-AC room and the toiletries were also not provided by them. But all these things can be compromised and neglected if you don't want luxury and want some cost-cutting on your hotel stay and accomodation expenses. The superb location makes this...
Read moreThis place has the most horrible food and an equally horrible head waiter. He is very mean and will try to hoodwink you by suggesting the rotten dishes in the menu. And then act as if he alone knows everything in the world and we are complete duds who have never seen anything else in the world. When he came to return me the change money after paying the bill, he tried to pocket the remaining money also which was around Rs 40 or 50, as though that was the worth that he was putting for his service. So what did I do, I gave him 1 rupee as tip for his stupid service. :) But his service was not even worth1 rupee. And mind you he is not even a Chinese or Nepali. He is just one rotten thief. So much for the name Shangri La! They charge you very high and give you only un tasty, scrapings to eat. The food served was just not up to the mark and the restaurant too doesn't fit to exist. The only thing good about the place are the paintings that are there on the wall and the elaborate wooden...
