Sometimes the best food stories start with zero planning — and our impromptu stop at Gaia, JP Nagar was pure chef’s kiss from start to finish!
Service: 10/10 for warmth and friendliness. The staff here don’t just serve food — they serve good vibes. Felt like we were being hosted by long-lost foodie friends.
Ambience: Calm, quiet, and oh-so-serene. If you’re tired of noisy cafes and just want to hear your food crunch — this is your happy place.
Now let’s talk about the real stars… the food!
-Spinach & Feta Cheese Samosa Love at first crunch! Crispy on the outside, cheesy-spinachy magic on the inside. That tangy chutney? Absolute mic-drop moment. Not your regular samosa — this one has main-character energy.
-Tomato Soup Simple. Honest. Comforting. Like a warm hug in a bowl. Not over-spiced or over-masala-ed — just clean tomato goodness. Add a pinch of salt/pepper to taste and suddenly it’s a blockbuster.
-Veg Seekh Kebab A solid squad of veggies + cheese rolled up and grilled to perfection. Soft inside, charred outside — exactly how kebabs should be. Also, fair warning: the portion is generous. Two people can share, or one person can turn it into a mini feast. No regrets either way.
-Mix Veg Pulao with Raita Paneer popping up like little surprises, rice cooked just right, and veggies doing a happy dance. Paired with raita — this one was wholesome, hearty, and super satisfying. Like a comfort movie, but in food form.
Verdict: We walked in without a plan and walked out with happy tummies and bigger smiles. Gaia is officially on our “must-return” list — can’t wait to explore the rest of the menu.

Read moreI had high expectations from Gaia but this was spoilt by the bad service of the staff. The food was good but not that great. Don’t go by the discription of the food given in menu because sometimes they dong match . The lotus crisps were good. Makai palak tacos was okay, the subz nizamj handi we had had a bit too much of elaichi flavour in it. Your staff needs a serious upgrade when it comes to service. When asked a side of salad for the roti curry the service guy forgot and didn’t once give a notice when we tried to call him it was evident he purposely did that considering the restaurant was not even crowded. When the dessert we ordered did have the ingredients mentioned he was correcting me saying that’s our formula we had ordered chocolate mousse, and the discription mentioned poached sour cherries and a few other which I didn’t find on my plate. When I asked him he just plainly told this is how it’s made and that’s our formula. And coming to giving hand wipes at the end of the meal or even giving a finger bowl. He was careless enough to tell we don’t give any such things it’s just not our thing and when asked about where I should be washing my hand he just ignored it. Coming to the valet I don’t know where the park the vehical they’ll take a minimum of 15-20 mins to get your vehical so it’s better you ask them to get your car while you are like almost at the end of your meal. Overall a bad experience by your staff and good also needs a major upgrade just playing the food is not enough putting some flavour in them might...
Read moreI would like to begin by appreciating the quality of the food, which was quite good. The taste and presentation were satisfying, and the dishes were well-prepared. However, that is the only positive aspect of this restaurant.
Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor. Despite multiple attempts to get the attention of the staff, we were completely ignored. The servers walked around aimlessly, deliberately avoiding eye contact, and acted as if they did not notice us. It took more than 10 minutes just to get a glass of water, and we had to call them several times just to place our order. It felt as though customer service was the last priority here.
The biggest disappointment was the reservation process, which was utterly pointless. We had booked a table for 1:00 PM, but we were made to wait until 3:15 PM to be seated. During this time, the front desk staff was unhelpful and poorly coordinated. The lady managing the front desk was unable to handle the crowd or maintain any sort of system. She seemed completely inefficient and indifferent to the customers waiting.
Once seated, it took another hour for the food to arrive, and we finally left the restaurant by 5:00 PM. In total, what should have been a pleasant lunch outing turned into a four-hour-long frustrating experience.
This restaurant may serve good food, but the terrible service, ineffective table management, and complete lack of professionalism overshadow everything. I would not recommend this place unless the management takes serious steps to improve their...
