Recently, I had the opportunity to try the English breakfast at Glen's Bakehouse, and while it provided a decent start to the day, it unfortunately fell short of leaving a lasting impression. Let's delve into the details of this average breakfast experience.
The presentation of the English breakfast at Glen's Bakehouse was relatively standard, with the different components arranged on the plate. However, the overall appearance lacked the visual appeal that can make a dish truly enticing. While aesthetics aren't everything, they do play a role in setting the tone for the dining experience.
The eggs, a staple of any English breakfast, were disappointingly average. They were adequately cooked but lacked the finesse and flavor that would have elevated them to a memorable level.
The sausages, another essential element, were passable but unremarkable. They lacked the depth of flavor found in higher-quality sausages and were somewhat bland overall. While they provided a meaty component to the breakfast, they failed to impress or stand out in any way. Sausage and baked beans both were too tomato ketchupy.
Accompanying the eggs and sausages were the standard components of an English breakfast: bacon, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, and bun. Unfortunately, none of these elements managed to shine. The croissant provided along with the platter was soggy not crispy nor particularly flavorful, leaving it rather lackluster. The mushrooms and tomatoes were not provided because of which the platter lacked the depth of flavor that could have added a burst of excitement to the dish.
The bun was acceptable but unremarkable, lacking the perfect balance of crunch and tenderness. It served its purpose as a vehicle for the other components, but it did not contribute any exceptional qualities to the overall breakfast experience.
One more negative aspect of Glen's Bakehouse English breakfast was the portion size, which was not at all generous. However, this along with the flavour was responsible for the lackluster flavors and uninspiring execution of the dish.
In terms of service, the staff at Glen's Bakehouse were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. However, it is worth noting that the breakfast lacked the attention to detail and culinary finesse that would have elevated it to a higher level.
In conclusion, the English breakfast at Glen's Bakehouse was disappointingly average. It provided a decent start to the day. The portion size was unsatisfactory, the lackluster flavors and uninspiring execution left much to be desired. If you find yourself seeking a memorable breakfast experience, you may want to explore other options in the area. For eg. Toit, which is near Glen's and has a much better and flavourful English...

Read moreCupcakes, which reach straight to your heart with their soulful flavours, beautiful icing and tiny sizes. I have always been fond of these cupcakes especially because of their size, which is really helpful when you are watching your weight and have the cravings for desserts at the same time. Also they make me feel like a giant.
Visited this amazing place for the first time(I have ordered cupcakes online several times ) of this indiranagar branch.
It’s got this really amazing vibe and a cosy ambiance which is just perfect for a date night or a hangout with friends.
It presents its customers with some of the most delectable delicacies like pizzas, sandwiches, salads and desserts.
I ordered 3 mini cupcakes from vegetarian desserts section. I could have ordered more but unfortunately there were only 3 options available.
The red velvet mini, it’s been in my favourite list since forever, the juicy cupcake baked with perfect seasoning and the sourness of the cheese garnishing is the perfect combination for any day.
Cupcake chocolate hazelnut mini was good, the cupcake had a good texture, it was airy and light but the hazelnut flavour was overpowered by the flavour of chocolate. But it did look pretty though.
The third one was chocolate mini. Tbh I didn’t find much difference between the chocolate mini and the chocolate hazelnut mini. They both did taste similar.
Everything about this place is just amazing except the counter in which they have displayed the desserts.
The desserts aren’t clearly labelled, they have got the black and white name plates which made me difficult to find out if the dot present on the name plate is either green or red.
Some of them had a coloured name plate but I couldn’t help asking myself again and again to the staff for vegetarian items just make sure it’s vegetarian.Hence cutting down a star.
Had a good time dining here, hope soon they replace the name plates and start labelling the items with clear signs.
Looking forward to visit this place again so that I can re-rate it with...
