Gufha as the name suggests is a restaurant made inside a cave....Well it's not a real cave but the interiors are made to look like a cave as soon as we enter the restaurant in a tall rise building in Jayanagar. We were a group of three families along with 4 kids who went there for a small get together. The place is a bit upscale restaurant with good service. We could find the place easily using Google maps , however I personally feel that they need to put a big name board with some vibrant colours so that the same can be seen better from outside. One of the restaurant names Andhra Ruchulu situated in ground floor has a better visibility from outside in comparison to Gufha. ..Am saying this because ,though we had planned to go to Gufha an had also booked a table for 10, we got a second thought as soon as we entered the building whether we can go to Andhra Ruchulu instead of Gufha. Table booking is always recommended in this restaurant as it gets crowded in evenings during weekends. My rating of 3 is because of two reasons: Taste of the food was good when it comes to non veg , but vegetarian food was just average. We had ordered for a veg platter and paying 1200 for the same was a bit too much. The place is dark inside as they have made it to look like a cave, however it needs some more lighting, better choice of music, and individual control on the volume in separate sitting areas.
As we had kids, we were continuously asking them to lower the volume. Taking kids might not be recommended to this place as this place by itself has its own serene ambience which was well appreciated by my friends. This place can be a good place to go for a dinner on a Valentine's day or for a romantic dinner. Kudos to Gufha for making such good interiors, however some minor changes of adjusting the ambience as per the guest recommendations and improving on food taste can help get...

If you're someone who prefers dim lighting and cave themed decor, Gufha Restaurant might appeal to you. The place is designed to resemble a cave, offering a dark, cozy ambience that’s quite unique. It’s a good spot if you enjoy low-light dining experiences. They also serve liquor, which adds to the vibe for those looking to unwind.
We tried both veg and non-veg dishes, and while the ambience and service were good and quick, the food was a mixed bag with more misses than hits.
🌮 What We Tried:
Butter Roti – 3.5/5: Soft and tasty.
Kulcha – 4/5: Well-made, no complaints.
Green Salad – 3.5/5: Decent quantity and fresh.
Mutton Ghost Shajahan – 4/5: Tasty and well-cooked mutton, though not exceptional.
Chicken Lollipop – 4/5: Tasted good, standard preparation.
Tandoori Jingha Prawns – 3/5: Overcooked and had too much charcoal flavor.
Matka Murg – 3/5: Just okay, pairs well with roti.
Kolhapuri Murg – 4.5/5: Highlight of the meal – spicy, flavorful, and really well done.
Murg & Paneer Biryani – 2/5: Major letdown – rice lacked flavor and the overall taste was disappointing.
Paneer Starter – 3/5: Nothing memorable, just okay.
Rasmalai – 3/5: Could’ve been better – they added some kind of jelly that didn’t go well.
Jwaree Moti (likely mushroom) – 3/5: Tasted average.
✅ What’s Good:
Ambience – Excellent for people who prefer a quiet, dimly lit setup.
Service – Quick and friendly.
Kolhapuri Murg – The standout dish.
❌ What’s Not:
Biryani was disappointing, and some items like prawns and starters didn’t meet expectations.
Not ideal if you’re looking for a strong food experience...
