On Friday night, we planned to visit this Pure vegetarian restaurant. Its very near to Jayanagar metro station, so you may avoid traffic and come by Metro. They use Molecular gastronomy for the artistic presentation of their food items which makes them outstanding.
Ambience- Their ambience is so niche & classic. From indoor seating on white sands to outdoor seating under the sky to the topmost floor with DJ floor. They have small- small vaults type of cozy tables where 1 group can sit in private and squat on the couche like seats.
You should try their mocktails -Litchi bubblegum, Kala khatta Gola & Kairi Kairi Margherita. No options for hard drinks.
Kiwi fizz will be served with frozen ice. Litchi Bubblegum tastes amazing but too sweet. Kala khatta gola will definitely we be frozen ice like a Gola which we used to have in our childhood. It will served in a small bowl. Kairi Kairi Margherita tastes droooolicious and not very sour, so you should give it a shot. It may remind you of the Panna drink.
Food- If you love Chaats, you must try all of their chaats(Indian starters). All of their chaats have outstanding presentation, quantity may seem less but taste delicious.
I also like thrir Roomali cheese papad It was like Maharaja style papad. Sesame sugarcane stick- They serve 5 lollipops which has inner filling of sugarcane & cottage cheese and outside coating of sesame seeds. Must try their Papdi chaat, Pani puri surprise 6pieces will be served in a separate spoon. Corn Flakes Bhel- They served it in a big bowl and their staff will prepare this Live in front of you. Vada pao- They serve small 8 paos for DIY and eat as per your taste. They serve this starter on two storeys wooden stand. Achaari Vegetables & chatpata paneer tikka- They serve Tandoori items on the small organized tandoor stand. Chilli Cheese Garlic Bread & Phyllo cheese cigars- If you love cheese, you should try these. They taste amazing & cheesy like hell. We also ordered Mediterranean pizza which tastes delicious, again cheesy but toppings were quiet balanced. I like sun-dried tomatoes so I loved this pizza. Not very thin crust.
How can I forget Desserts! Try their chocolate tree, frozen tiramisu & melting dome. Too chocolaty bit atleast not dark. I didnt like baklawa gulkand much but way of toppong those frozen rose petals on the top is beguiling.
You should visit place as you will find rare restaurants with both Italian & modern Indian cuisine together. Offers- You may put the restaurant bill on Dineout to get 20% cashback. No valet...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Stegi, a modern Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of Jayanagar, and I must say it was an extraordinary culinary experience that I won't soon forget. The menu at Stegi is a true testament to the innovation and creativity that Indian cuisine can offer. I had the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes, each of which left me craving for more. Let me share some highlights from my delightful meal:
Anar ka Pyaar: This dish was a burst of flavors and textures. The combination of pomegranate, chaat masala, and various spices created a symphony in my mouth.
Pani-Puri Surprise: As a fan of street food, I was thrilled to try this playful take on pani puri. The crispy shells filled with tangy water and a medley of chutneys were a delightful surprise.
Pizza: Stegi's modern twist on the classic pizza was outstanding. The fusion of Indian and Italian flavors was a delightful departure from the ordinary.
Kulfi Nitro: For dessert, I indulged in the Kulfi Nitro, which was an absolute treat. The creamy kulfi infused with liquid nitrogen added a fun and unique element to the dining experience.
Pani Puri and Misal Pav: I also couldn't resist ordering more pani puri, and the Misal Pav was a flavorful revelation. It transported me to the streets of Mumbai with its authenticity.
Paneer Starter & Sizzlers: The paneer starter was a melt-in-your-mouth delight, and the sizzlers were perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection.
The service at Stegi was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was exceptional. The cozy and modern ambiance of the restaurant created a welcoming atmosphere that made my meal even more enjoyable.

Read moreStegi is known for its molecular gastronomy and that Definitely shows in every dish they have to provide. They cater mostly to indian flavours and have done an amazing job by retaining the original flavour even after apply their innovative takes on the classic indian street food.
We started off with two warm soups, the creamy broccoli cheddar and the mushroom cappacino. The broccoli cheddar is super creamy and definitely my personal favourite. Tip: The bread sticks and the cheddar cream go really well together.
Moving on to the appetizers, we had a blast with this course of the meal. Starting off with my personal favourite the vada pav. This is a deconstructed or DIY vada pav served in a rather unique way, it consists of two chutneys ( red and green), the pav which is already cut, boondi, little edible sachets of masala and a thick bowl of potato mousse. Depending on your liking you can add all the Ingredients together and you have a delicious mumbai flavoured Vada pav.
Next I absolutely was blown away by the beautiful pani puri which is presented on spoons with the puri in it and a sphere containing the sweet and tangy pani mixed with all the flavours inside it. This is so fun to eat, as soon as you out the whole thing into your mouth the sphere pops releasing all the mixture inside and there is a sudden blast of flavours in your mouth. The dahi papdi was also similar but the dahi is inside a rather large droplet which again pops in your mouth releasing cold dahi. This is presented on top of a stand which has dry ice below it giving a smokey effect and yet keeping the chaat cool.
They also house some delicious red Indian Slider which has a red bun with cheesy onion ring and then a crispy panner patty below it. It looks amazing and tasted sooo delicious as well. We also got to ry their paneer tikka which was sooo tangy, chatpata and delicious and the Paneer was so soft that it just cut like butter.
These were the Indian flavours, they also house Italian and mexican flavours. They have a delicious spinach cheese finger which I filled with cheese and tastes delicious.
Overall this is definitely one of the most unique experiences I have had in Bangalore, complete with dry ice filled presentation of food and most importantly the taste this is definitely one place that I would keep...
