Read moreHakuna Matata has a special place in my heart as it was the first spot I visited after moving to Bangalore.
The chicken ghee roast is one of my favorite dishes here, though I often wish the portion was a bit more generous. That said, it is the closest I have come to an authentic Mangalorean ghee roast in Bangalore.
When it comes to mocktails, you really cannot go wrong with any choice on their menu. My top picks are Love Just One, White Horse, and Melody, with the first being my absolute favorite.
I recently tried the chicken wonton soup, but it did not quite hit the mark. Even though the staff informed us it would be a clear soup, it ended up being rather bland, including the wonton filling. However, the veg manchow soup was much better and definitely worth a try.
In terms of vegetarian options, the honey chilli potato was quite good but fills you up quickly. The paneer Tobanjan looked promising but ended up tasting too similar to the honey chilli potato, just without the garnishing.
I also recommend the Korean chicken noodles, even though they were a bit oily for my taste, the flavor was still enjoyable.
For dessert, I have tried the deep-fried ice cream, tender coconut payasam, and brownie with ice cream. I would only suggest the brownie with ice cream, and definitely ask for extra chocolate syrup. The other two desserts did not quite live up to the hype for me.
The service is excellent, and the vibe here strikes the perfect balance. It is not too extravagant but not too basic either. It is spacious, open, and bright during the day, and beautifully set up for candlelight dinners at night. Whether you are here with friends or family, the ambiance makes it a comfortable and...
