UPDATED 2yrs later: Nothing has changed. From delayed orders to staggered preparation you will never get your order on time or together whether you dine-in or order out. The staff are very friendly no complaints there but their internal systems are ext poor. Pure espresso coffee is horrible but that's a personal taste. Since most Indians don't drink espressos only, cappuccinos and frappes they don't notice the taste of the coffee but coffee lovers beware! You'll find the multi-mix of robusta and arabica beans atrocious with dominant bitter, sour and smelly notes- everything coffee DOESN'T HAVE TO BE. Without all the food and sugary drinks Third wave wouldn't last 2 days as a coffee-only cafe.
UPDATED REVIEW: After several visits everything in my original review remains the same. The baristas don't bother to greet you with a smile, they won't even cut a puff into four slices citing protocol (go figure!), the servers forget cutlery and other basics though they are friendly, getting your food at one go is impossible... Overall, this place is average in terms of a coffee experience. Highway cafes are better. To truly experience the difference in service and quality you only need to visit a Starbucks after this cafe and make simple requests on the staff to see what a good experience involves? Despite assurances from their management of changes in service there's no difference.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: A good example of location not being everything! It is untidy, messy & does not inspire confidence in hygiene. Service is surprisingly poor. Their tables are not cleaned promptly long after customers have left so, new customers need to wait. Cutlery is not washed properly with stains and smudges maybe I was unlucky? The staff don't apply their heads to simple requests. The guy doing the billing flatly refused to serve a stuffed croissant cut in half bec food would spill out!? The food takes too too long to arrive and when it does it's cold. Something is always missing. It's either cutlery or ketchup or napkins. If there are two people and you ask for a glass of water they only serve one! Again- no presence of mind. As a Third-wave member did not even bother with the app bec it felt like a waste of time. Staff at the counter are unaware of the app or incapable of explaining the ingredients of food items or different styles of coffee! When I asked the barista for a sample of a long shot they flatly refused stating it's against policy!! I doubt they knew. The outdoor area has a very irritating starving cat roaming under the tables and threatening to jump on the chair. I thought this was a stray until I noticed they had placed feeding bowls in different corners! The washroom was not clean. Overall a very underwhelming experience and oh yes- the coffee is quite bitter and scent is pungent. It doesn't have an aroma you'd expect. More on the CCD style of taste whereas CCD had a good aroma. Would go with Starbucks or Blue Tokai anyday. The variety of food items on offer is not bad and...
Read moreI found about this beautiful cafe in my neighbourhood just a couple of days ago and I must say I'm hooked! The coffee is beautifully aromatic, aptly-priced and wide-ranging. Their Passion fruit and Hibiscus iced teas were tasty and perfectly mild on sugar, and I enjoyed them. I tried their Cinnamon Bun and Pita Hummus platter. Both were great in taste and quantity. All their staff members are really warm and polite. Jayalakshmi and Akshaya gave me a demo for a pour-over coffee preparation. I was quite impressed by their passion and expertise. On the practical side of things, you can sit as long as you wish to work here. The outside compound is as beautiful as the inside area of the cafe. I generally choose to sit outside because of the lush green trees and the high energy vibes of The Indian Music Experience Museum. The place is very well-lit in the evenings, so working longish hours shouldn't be a problem either. It is open from 8 am to 11 pm. Almost all the tables have charging sockets, so using devices here is not an issue at all. There is free wifi and its speed is decently good for a cafe. The restroom is inside the cafe and is neat, and cleaned regularly. My 2 suggestions for improvement: 1) the place needs to have more options for plant based/vegan drinks and food. 2) There is a need for some sugar-free drinks for the people who want to come almost daily but don't want to go heavy on the calories everyday. Apart from that, a great positive place which makes the day go by in a jiffy. Highly...

Third Wave Coffee has always held a special place for meâa soothing, inviting cafĂ© that gets it right almost every time. The ambience strikes a perfect balance between calm and cozy, making it an ideal space whether youâre meeting friends, diving into a book, or just looking for a quiet corner to sip coffee and unwind.
The service here is consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and they make sure your experience is smooth and relaxed. As for the coffeeâit never disappoints. Their Americano is my personal favorite: strong, smooth, and just the way I like it.
When it comes to food, their croissants are an absolute standout. The almond and chocolate croissants, along with the banana walnut cake, are my go-to picksâfresh, flaky, and perfectly paired with coffee. Theyâve also got a great range of sandwiches and a few salads for those looking for a light meal.
While the cinnamon roll could use a little more love in terms of texture and flavor, it's still a decent option if you're in the mood for something sweet.
Overall, Third Wave is not just a cafĂ©âitâs a vibe. Whether youâre catching up with people or just enjoying your own company, itâs always a...
