I have recently been to this outlet. The whole experience was quite bad for the following reasons:
After entering, I directly went to the billing counter to place an order. The Woman at the counter did not respond to my query for Fifteen minutes & just kept laughing and chit-chatting with her counterpart. Then she asked me to tell my table number. I asked, "What table number?". I was told that the order needed to be placed on the table & later the bill needed to be paid by quoting the table number. I told them that I would opt for takeaway & ordered Dahi Papdi chat, Behl Puri & Chole Bhature. This whole ordeal took 20 mins
After giving the bill/counter foil at the parcel counter, The Gentleman at the Chole Bhature counter took another 20 mins to give the Parcel. When I checked the parcel, Chats were there but Chole Bhature was missing. When asked, I was told that for Chole Bhature, I needed to go to another counter. Now This guy at the counter took another 15 minutes. The parcel did not contain any cutlery also.
There were absolutely no floor managers to guide customers & most of the customers looked confused or disappointed. The chats were good, But in Chole Bhature, Chole was completely filled with oil & bhature was rubbery & hard. I was shocked to see the use of Disposables here. for both dine-in and takeaway. Just imagine the kind of Garbage this eatery alone will generate. At least for Dine-in, they need to start using reusable tableware. It's a very well-known brand, and they need to work on being sustainable & environment friendly.
As a customer, Time is of paramount importance to me, I would never visit this place again. no one can afford to spend 90 minutes just for two chats takeaway. The pricing charged is on the higher side and does not justify the quality of...
The experience is very different from the Haldirams of Delhi NCR. The Delhi NCR Haldirams have great quick proactive service and the menu seems to be fuller.
Been visiting the Gandhi Bazar branch since it opened. For starters the car parking in building is reserved for building owner and not customers who bring in the business. Strange policy.
It's barely occupied on weekends, can't imagine weekdays.
The menu has limited jain options, and no jain options for chats. The jain options available are all sweet gravy based options. Kailash parbat has better offerings.
The packages food and beverage are also now limited, very low stock and very few SKUs. Local kirana has more Haldirams variety than this big establishment.
The chole bhature have been good untill now. The taste has degraded, the chilli and aloo supplied seemed to be old stock.
The makki roti combo portion size is small. The makki roti small and thin, turned kadak instantly. No makkan provided. Gud served was so less that my blood might have more sugar than this. Hilarious.
Laccha parata jain combo was also small on portion size.
Coffee tea although mentioned onemu, not offered. But south indian dosa is on offer.
Feels like such a great potential to become iconic establishment in Basavanagudi is wasted with these let downs.
Also the location is not wheel chair friendly.
What's more disappointing is the state of the washroom. Muddy water clogged in the floor, the broken bidet spray lying on that pool of dirty water, and ciggerate packs lying around. Surely guests...
