Insider Tips
Gig nights are packed and they usually do not take reservations then so plan on how you want to grab that seat, especially if it is a band you like
They are very open to the idea of customizing your meal and I have taken advantage of that many times
If you love your mashed potatoes, the 'White Cheddar Smashed Potatoes' has to be ordered
If there is one thing that Hard Rock Café has managed to do it is maintain its quality over the years. The service is always pretty good – gig night or not and the food and drink quite a top notch. They treat their meats with love and maybe that is why I love them all the more. Beers are available on tap and of course, you have all of the usual suspects in the bottled variety. Sometimes though, the beers on tap can be a little flat. The cocktails are potent and best reserved for weekend drinking. The sharing platters are great for large groups and quite substantial. The 'Meat Nachos' come with salsa, sour cream and some guacamole and is quite nice. The 'Original Hard Rock Onion Rings' are breaded and deep-fried and oh so good. The 'Wings in BBQ Sauce' are done well with the meat being nice and moist. The 'Red Hot Chilli Fries' is another favourite for me here. You can make a more substantial meal out of the 'Fish and Chips' which has generous portions. The 'Hickory Smoked Half BBQ Ribs' will need you to loosen the belt a few notches. And the 'Hickory Smoked BBQ Combo with Chicken and Pork' on a plate is all sorts of happiness together. Their range of infusions are good and you should try the 'Pomegranate Cider Sangria' and the 'Mango Ginger Mojito'. The infusions go into the food as well and the 'Teacher’s Whisky Bacon Jam Slider' is all sorts of sinfulness. For that weekend drinking, the 'Ultimate Long Island Ice Tea' is what you should try. The 'B-52' is my favourite to end on. For desserts, you could go with simple 'Ice Cream' or try the 'Apple Cobbler' or go all out on the 'Oreo...
Read moreHard Rock Cafe Bangalore is a franchise built with a rock 'n' roll theme to it. It's meant to give off a chill but active and lively atmosphere. What that means is you can find patrons interacting quietly at a few tables in one section, while in the other section, you may find others dancing to the music.
Seats are a mixture of solid chairs, sofas, couches...... There are also a mixture of dim and neon lights inside and out to solidify that purpose.
The food I would rate a 3 on 5. If you are used to certain specific tastes of some dishes, you will probably be disappointed. However if you can look beyond that, you may actually enjoy it. Except the fajitas. It may have just been a single mistake, but it was definitely on the dark and burnt side. I was going to overlook it, but I could taste the bitter, burnt taste on the shrimp. That horrid taste worked its way into each bite.
We also had steak fajitas which were fortunately, not burnt. They were juicy, well-sized and tasted amazing. In addition to that, we had onion rings, a full plate of buffalo wings, a brownie and beverages. The wings were great, but again not up to standard. They were not that spicy as buffalo wings should be. And the dip they gave was not the same as the regular original buffalo dip.
The onion rings were delicious. EXTRA crispy, and perfectly fried.
The brownie I would consider a 5/5. It was the perfect height and size, gooey, soft, and warmed perfectly.
Other than the alcoholic beverages, we ordered strawberry basil lemonade and mango berry lemonade. Both were enough to last the whole meal (and we were there for hours). And they actually put in various ingredients. So they were well-done.
Music was obviously good. Couches were comfortable. Staff were polite and friendly only if you could get their attention.
We bought a lot of...
Read moreI’ve been a recurring patron of HRC and love the entire vibe. I’ve been coming here every now and then since 2014 and have had different experiences each time. The first time was with my brother and my favourite, as everything was perfect and I happened to even see the waiters get on the table and dance to the YMCA song, which apparently happens on a specific day at a specific time.
And I’ve been here many times since with friends, incl. purchasing stuff from the shop inside. The music is one of the unique things about this place and it has amazing sound and speakers. The ambience would be the second as the entire place has been crafted to give a certain vibe that carries forward and does justice to the image of Bangalore as the “rock capital” of India.
My last visit however, was disappointing. I had come for karaoke which was overall fun and I enjoyed that experience. But the service and food was terrible. I ordered one of their big cheeseburgers, which is supposedly to be cheesy, as the name suggests. But instead I got a disappointing, subpar burger with a single slice of cheese that did not meet my expectations for that price range. On the plus side, the waiter asked me how I’d like my patty cooked which was great but then the lack of cheese and the 15 minute wait for the waiter took to bring mayonnaise that I requested, made it cold and terrible. I was disappointed by this as there are far superior burgers around the same area that are less priced and wayyy better. I hope HRC improves their service and quality of the burger to do some justice to the marketing and pricing for it. Other that that, I had a fine night and was happy with the...
