Kababish Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I recently visited Kababish Restaurant in BTM Layout, and to be honest, my experience was not very satisfying. While the place has a decent look and feel with a casual dining setup, the actual service and value for money left a lot to be desired.

One of the first things that struck me was the portion size of the food. The dishes are priced on the higher side, but the quantity served is far from reasonable. For the amount they charge, one would expect generous portions, but instead, the plates felt almost half-empty. This really takes away from the overall dining experience, especially when you come in expecting a hearty meal.

Adding to this disappointment was the behavior of the staff. I found them to be quite indifferent and not courteous at all. They seemed disinterested in attending to customers, and even basic requests were either ignored or handled with a lack of politeness. Good service often makes up for average food, but here, both were below expectations.

In a place like BTM Layout where there are so many better restaurants and eateries offering good food at fair prices with much friendlier service, Kababish doesn’t really stand out. Unless they improve their portion sizes and train their staff to be more customer-friendly, it will be hard to recommend this restaurant. Visited Kababish a few times before renovation for lunch and we tried their biriyani, chicken mandi and chicken kabsa before. The place appeared during lunch time and dinner. They offered Kerala, North Indian and Indo Chinese food items too. They appear to serve more non-veg food items though. Not a place for the ambience. This place is frequented by men mostly. Ideal for bachelors and working groups.

After renovation, we visited there yesterday and ordered what was left for the night. They offer fresh appam, puttu and porota now. Porota and chicken pepper masala and chicken curry.
