Edit 2: I eat here everyday for the dearth of another good restaurant. 1 year later and the staff are still rude. When I try and speak in Kannada, they arrogantly respond in Hindi. The floor head in there service section behaves like he owns the restaurant and is extremely arrogant. 1 roti took half an hour to prepare and when I politely asked why, I was ganged up by the waiters and was told that’s how much time roti takes everywhere, which is nonsense. The cutlery is dirty every time. I’ve attached a photo of the coffee cup with sip stain.

If another good restaurant opens nearby I won’t be coming to this sad place.

Edit: visited the restaurant and the service is horrible. Rude staff, unwashed cutlery, dirty tables… Ordered food and they came back after 15 mins saying 2 items were not available. Ordered badam milk and they sent it in a dirty white cup with coffee stains all over. I should have taken a photo to show how disgusting it was. After it was replaced they sent plain milk instead. And over that the manager is sick-faced, unpleasant person. Doesn’t even look like a manager. This place is for uneducated people who are pampered by decent interiors and good food. Food is decent.

This review is for the delivered items. Missing items and they don’t even have a phone number to report this. The quality of packaging is worse than small restaurants. Coffee was sent in a plastic box that they use for chutney.

The one star is only for the good quality food. But I won’t be ordering from this...

Krishnam Udupi Hotel offers a mixed dining experience that leaves me with both contentment and slight disappointment. Let's start with the positives—the Kadai Paneer and Kulcha were simply outstanding! The paneer was incredibly tender, infused with aromatic spices and cooked to perfection in the flavorful tomato-based gravy. The Kulcha, soft and fluffy, complemented the paneer dish impeccably, making it a delightful combination. These two dishes alone would bring me back to Krishnam Udupi Hotel.

However, my enthusiasm took a hit when I tried the Handi Biryani. While the presentation was appealing, the taste left much to be desired. The biryani lacked the distinct blend of spices and depth of flavors that one expects from this classic dish. It was rather ordinary and did not live up to the high standard set by the paneer and kulcha.

The restaurant ambiance was pleasant, providing a relaxed and cozy atmosphere for dining. The service was satisfactory, with the staff being attentive and polite. Prices were reasonable, making it a suitable option for a budget-friendly meal.

Despite the Handi Biryani's letdown, Krishnam Udupi Hotel redeems itself with the exceptional Kadai Paneer and Kulcha. If you are a fan of paneer dishes, this place is a must-visit. However, if you're seeking an unforgettable biryani experience, you might want to explore other options. Overall, Krishnam Udupi Hotel is a decent veg restaurant with room for improvement in...

Krishnam Udupi Hotel, located near Vajarahalli Metro Station, is a fantastic place to enjoy a satisfying lunch. This establishment specializes in serving authentic South Indian cuisine, ensuring a delightful culinary experience. I recently had the pleasure of trying their Butter Masala Dosa, and it was truly remarkable.

The restaurant's ambiance is welcoming and comfortable, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The staff members are friendly, attentive, and ensure prompt service. The menu features a variety of delectable South Indian dishes that cater to different preferences.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Butter Masala Dosa. The dosa was perfectly cooked, with a crisp golden-brown exterior and a soft, flavorful interior. The generous dollop of butter on top added richness and enhanced the overall taste. The accompanying sambar and chutney complemented the dosa wonderfully, adding layers of flavor to each bite.

Apart from the exceptional Butter Masala Dosa, Krishnam Udupi Hotel offers a wide range of other South Indian delicacies that are equally delightful. Whether you're craving idlis, vadas, or traditional meals, this place has got you covered.

In conclusion, if you're in the vicinity of Vajarahalli Metro Station and seeking an authentic South Indian lunch experience, I highly recommend Krishnam Udupi Hotel. Their mouthwatering Butter Masala Dosa and warm hospitality make it a must-visit destination for South Indian...

The purpose of my review of this restaurant is to make it's owners aware of few critical things. Here it goes - Firstly, the hotel is very well placed on the highway in an area which is new and we'll populated. Also the building and ambience are all amazing. This drove me to enter the hotel and try some of its delicacies.. Yeah, I was totally in dismay for the kind of standard Bangalore hotel menu and below average dosas. In fact I had a paper masala Dosa which turned out to be a hardcore battered thick and heavy substance. There is nothing special about this hotel regarding food. They provide same menu any other fast food restaurant offers. The taste also is no different. For the kind of ambience they have created, I would like to ask few questions to the management - 1. Why should people come to your hotel, rather than having food in a nearby restaurant ? 2. Do you have a special dish which no one else provides? In that case have you done enough to promote your specialities? 3. Why are you offering the same sugary sambhar and Wadas which we have tried all across Bangalore? Why don't you try out something fresh and new? Even your tea is no better than any other hotel. Other aspects are good - well equipped and staffed premises, banquet hall, fine dining, etc. I hope the management takes some slack at the points told above to bring in a new perspective to residents of Anjanapura, gubbalala and nearby areas.

We visited Krishnam on 2 separate occasions. First time, in the evening to have some chats and in the morning for breakfast. The restaurant is almost always busy as it is on a busy intersection and their food tastes very good. They have both self serve as well as serviced sections. We ordered Masala puri, Aloo puri and Bhel puri. I really liked the Masala puri for its texture and consistency. Aloo puri too was not that bad. Bhel puri was okay. We also ordered Tomato soup, Baby corn pepper dry and Paneer chilli for takeaway. Paneer was very soft, but had a lot of onion, garlic and capsicum. And it was extremely oily. Tomato soup was good. Baby corn pepper dry was bland and I didn’t like it. I do recommend chats, but for Chinese items I would rather give it a pass. For breakfast, we ordered Butter masala dosa, Vada sambar, Tair vada and Vada chutney. Butter masala dosa was crispy and had a lot of butter. The potatoes in the palya was nicely mashed. Sambar was watery and had no veggies, but good. Coconut chutney was good too. Idli was average. The size of the Vada was huge! It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was good. Tair vada was sweet and the curd was thick. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Krishnam for chats and South Indian food. Food - 4/5 Service - 4/5 Ambience - 2/5
