Title: A Nostalgic Culinary Journey at Mayuri, Jc Road
As a long-time patron of Mayuri, situated in the heart of Bangalore on Jc Road, I've witnessed its evolution over the years. Despite changes in taste and and no change in ambiance, one thing remains constant – the essence of traditional Andhra cuisine served with heart and heritage.
Stepping into Mayuri is like stepping back into my childhood, where meals were served on banana leaves, and every bite was a celebration of flavor. While the taste may have shifted subtly over time, the essence of authenticity still permeates every dish.
One of my all-time favorites is the Chicken Biryani and Chili Chicken combo. The biryani is aromatic, with each grain of rice infused with the rich flavors of spices. Paired with the fiery kick of the chili chicken, it's a match made in culinary heaven. And let's not forget the Chicken Roast, with its perfectly balanced blend of spices and tenderness that keeps me coming back for more.
While some may lament the changes in taste, I see it as a testament to Mayuri's willingness to adapt while staying true to its roots. It's a reminder that even as time marches on, some things – like good food and cherished memories – remain timeless.
In conclusion, Mayuri on Jc Road is not just a restaurant; it's a journey through nostalgia, flavors, and cherished memories. For those seeking a taste of traditional Andhra cuisine served with love and authenticity, Mayuri is a must-visit...

On my recent visit, I tried their Andhra meals with mutton chops and also had a plate of biryani—and every bite lived up to the reputation. The Andhra meals were well-balanced, with perfectly spiced curries, chutneys, and papad, while the mutton chops were tender, rich, and packed with flavor. The biryani was aromatic and satisfying, served with raita and salan on the side.
The restaurant has a no-frills, clean, and functional setup. While it does get crowded during lunch hours, the staff is quick and efficient in managing orders.
Prices are reasonable—around ₹800 for two—and the food quality and quantity make it a great value. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal or a spicy meat dish, Mayuri is definitely worth visiting for its consistent taste and...
Read moreIt's very surprising to see all the good comments. This place is garbage. Ordered for chicken biryani, chicken rice and chicken 65 for a home delivery that's around 300mts away and they cheated us big time with a bill of RS.850 for the most pathetic tasting biriyani I've ever had so far in my lifetime. Chicken 65 had only 3 pieces which was mostly bone and the size of these pieces were perfectly an inch (Rs. 170/-). The chicken rice didn't have salt at all. When asked for delivery charge he said it was free but the delivery guy got pissed off for a 10 rupee tip and started yelling like a maniac. I would never in my lifetime will suggest anyone this place. I almost started puking after I ate their food. I tied it up and buried it to the ground so no animals won't eat it and die. They have the perfect name for the shop "Mayuri" cuz food Mayur...
