I have been a regular at Nagarjuna Andhra Style Restaurant in Bengaluru for years, and it is hands down our go-to spot for authentic Andhra delicacies. This place never fails to impress with its vibrant flavors and warm hospitality, making every visit a delight.
The star of the show is their famous unlimited Andhra banana leaf meal. It is an absolute feast, served with such generosity that you will need to pace yourself! The spread includes a variety of spicy, tangy curries, perfectly cooked rice, crispy papads, and an array of chutneys that burst with flavor. The mutton curry and spicy Andhra dal are personal favorites, and the meal always ends with a comforting bowl of sambar and rasam that ties it all together. The fact that they keep refilling your plate with such enthusiasm makes it feel like a home-cooked meal, just with an extra kick of spice.
Their chicken biryani is another gem. It is fragrant, flavorful, and packed with tender, well-spiced chicken that melts in your mouth. The rice is perfectly cooked, with each grain soaked in aromatic spices, and it comes with a side of raita that balances the heat beautifully. I could eat this biryani every week and never get tired of it.
The chicken kebabs are a must-try starter. They are juicy, smoky, and grilled to perfection, with just the right amount of spice to whet your appetite. Pair them with the mint chutney, and you are in for a treat. These kebabs are always a hit when we are dining with friends or family.
The service at Nagarjuna is quick and efficient, even during peak hours when the place is buzzing with people. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring your meal is served hot and fresh. The seating is comfortable, with ample space for groups, which makes it great for family outings or casual get-togethers.
One small quirk is the valet parking, which is mostly on the road, but it has never been a hassle for us. The affordable rates are another big plus—Nagarjuna offers incredible value for the quality and quantity of food you get. It is rare to find a place that combines such authentic taste, quick service, and reasonable prices so seamlessly.
If you are craving bold, spicy Andhra cuisine in Bengaluru, Nagarjuna is the place to go. Their unlimited banana leaf meal, chicken biryani, and chicken kebabs are pure perfection, and it is no wonder we keep coming...
Read more{Nagarjuna} is one of the many other traditional restaurant serving authentic Andhra cuisine, over the year. I have visited {Nagarjuna}'s may outlets across the city, several times. I finally managed to capture my more recent visit to the Indranagar outlet in this review. I have tried their Andhra Bhojanam, and their Biriyani's, both of which are extremely good, in terms of quality and quantity. Both Chicken and Mutton are equally recommended and a must try out here.
The Biriyani out here is not super spicy, but not too mild. Just rightly spiced with green chillies and meat, its a perfect blend of flavourful Andhra goodness. For starters we usually keep our choices between either the Chicken or Prawn Sholay. However this time we tried their Veinchina Kodi Mukkalu, which is a wonderful boneless chicken ghee roast, a Nagarjuna special. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavour punch, enjoyed every bit of it.
For the brave who like to challenge the limits of spicy Andhra food, should try their Pacha Karam Kodi. Its a classic Nagarjuna dish from 1984. It a chilli madness, where chicken is perfectly sauteed in green chillies, not recommended for the people sensitive to heavy spicy food.
Quick Summary - Excellent Andhra Cuisine served in a hygienic and neat ambience with swift and courteous service, a must try if you love Andhra Cuisine, comes highly...
Read moreHad been to this restaurant after a very long time. Let's say post lockdown, the staff have changed and even the menu. The eggplant curry or gutti vankayi is no longer available, the courteousness of the staff has disappeared. So me and my wife were a bit late around 3:35pm. The restaurant staff gave a warm welcome which is appreciated and then the waited walked in and said you might want to order soon before the kitchen closes. We did as advised with in 10 minutes they started serving. The chicken roast which we spoke ordered was burnt to such extent I couldn't make out whether it had any amount of moisture or fat in it. Now here comes the best part, I don't know the name but usually apart from waiter there would be a manager who would forsee activities, this guy was epic, at sharp 4 they switched off AC. Now let me remind you there are no fans in this branch of the restaurant. It's sweating hot inside and we have around 25 to 30 customers still eating. We informed the same to the manager and the gentleman said he would get it done. However inspite we requesting it umpty number of times his resources did not switch on the ac. The hospitality sucks at the core. My message to the management - don't service charge us if you can't give us the service we ask for. Shame...
