Review based on multiple visits and deliveries. Bliss chocolates was synonymous with a luxury chocolate experience in Bangalore for a long time from when its UB City outlet opened right up till the middle of the last decade, until it morphed into one of the best things to have happened to Bangalore’s desert space- Smoor! While most Smoor outlets are just a stall (very regrettably so- we really need many more lounges around town for a full luxe experience), their flagship Indiranagar Signature Lounge has just the right ambience for such a place- elegant enough with sufficient seating but not too jazzy so as to possibly ensure that the focus remains on what you’re eating. Coming to the food itself, while deserts and chocolates and cakes are what they are primarily known for, their savoury dishes too are nothing less- in quality as well as variety offered on the menu that spans multiple cuisines. I’ve tasted various dishes like the Ravioli in Almond Butter Sauce, Chicken Shawarma Pita Pockets, Margherita and Apollo Pizzas and Chicken Dimsums among other things, and all of them have tasted on point with nearly nothing to fault. Among their plated deserts, I’ve had the Rich Raspberry and of course their signature Balloon Brownie which were a treat to both the eyes and the taste buds. Moreover, even their beverages do not disappoint- be it their Mango to Tango Milkshake, Belgian Iced Chocolate or Cold Coffee and Mocha Frappe. Their delivery and take-away offering is equally impressive save for a few flaws, which has been a great boon especially during lockdowns. We regularly order birthday cakes from here over other places including 5 star hotels as they taste as well as look simply divine- we’ve ordered their 1 kg Intensive Red Velvet Cake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Tiramisu Gianduja and also their very reasonably priced Dutch Truffle, and would definitely recommend all of these to everyone. We also once received an indulgent Smoor hamper which had the best chocolates and cookies among other things. The only negative from all our home delivered experiences has been the Chocolate Marquise that I once ordered and it didn’t taste nice at all- it was supposed to be rich chocolate but it didn’t have any taste at all. Additionally, they’ve sometimes delivered the edible name plate for birthday cakes either smudged or with a piping bag to write myself, which I’m not sure is something you can expect of a customer, and in case your cake is being delivered from their cloud kitchen, you get a printed name plate which looks extremely tacky. Hence the deduction of one star in my rating owing to the above and I really hope they iron out these flaws for good (other places get them right, it’s really not that hard). All in all this is a brilliant one-stop place for anything you may have to do with desert (and even savoury)- dining as well as delivery, so it really is surprising if you’re from Bangalore and haven’t eaten...

Read moreNo... NO! NO! Never Again. Don't trust this folks. They are not capable!
It was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. Unfortunately, I can now confirm that those negative reviews were spot on.
They executives on the call were clearly disinterested, unenthusiastic, and frankly, annoyed to be doing what they do. I had to do multiple calls before I could get them to understand my need. (Maybe on hindsight that was Universe telling me not to order with them). It was clear that customer satisfaction is never a priority for them, and it reflected in the overall interactions with me from the word go. (I don't want to name the executive here.)
Their services levels have degraded pathetically, since a year. For me, from writing a 5 star review to a 'Zero' rating tells the story. In short, they do not care about the Customer.
Let me elaborate... I chose to get a customized cake for a special day and the customization was only adding a layer of 1.5 kilo on the cake from their menu. How difficult can that be.. But trust me. they can make this the most challenging one.
This 3 kg cake may have had approximately 5 kg of sugar in it. Trust me I am not exaggerating. Yes. All the cake was a waste and little ones in the party just did not go for a second bite from their plate and discarded it. The whole of the 3 kg went waste.. all dumped. They sure have forgotten the flavors and impeccable taste they used to deliver in the past. This is my second 'Zero' star experience. I did not write last time around and gave them a chance...
The chef does not understand color profile. For these folks - orange is baby pink. Yes. The color baby pink in the menu became orange when they delivered. Imagine our surprise when we saw the cake and the disappointment for the one celebrating...
They are so bad as to miss the number on the cake for a Birthday and miss it out completely. Then they have the audacity to say it will be delivered before the event and never connect back or even update why it did not get delivered as promised.
I am sure by sheer luck, they got the message and the name, right.
The best is for the last... You ask them for a specific delivery time.. they agree and they charge you for that.. since its customized. Note: If you order on the website delivery is free. But delivery for customization is charged. And to your surprise ... they will deliver at least 4 hours before your requested time, leaving you enough time to go buy a new big refrigerator, so that you can keep the cake edible for the event.
I hope sincerely no one goes through these kind of issues during a...
