The management charged Service Charge on our bill, citing that they have mentioned it on their menu that Service Charge will be levied on the bill, and we have to pay it mandatorily. Service Charge is not mandatory, and is voluntary for the customers to pay or not pay, upon their discretion, as per Section 18 (2) (I) of The Consumer Protection Act, 2019. But the entire management started arguing with us, stating that they will cancel the hourly discounts that we got, if we don't pay the Service Charge. We calmly stated to remove the Service Charge, so that we can pay the bill, but they started threatening us, that they wont let us leave the pub, if we don't pay the bill. Had gone to this place with friends, whom we have been meeting after a long time, but all this quarrel ruined the night for us. Finally after half an hour of arguing, and after speaking to many people from the management, they finally removed the Service Charge and told us not to come there ever again. Honestly, the food was average, and the music sucked. The ambience was ok, the service was quite late, the staff was unprofessional, and their manager was reluctant and unhelpful.
