The Rendezvous | Resto pub, Koramangala — Restaurant in Bengaluru

We just organized our son's small Birthday lunch at The Rendezvous. First of all, I was super impressed by how accommodating they were for all our requests. They were the only party venue that agreed to cater for fewer than 30 guests (I inquired with several restaurants and caterers for small parties, and it seems like 30 is the minimum cutoff). We had a great time, and I think it's an excellent place for hosting small parties right in the center of Koramangala.

Food: The menu was extensive for the price they charged. Starters like Cheese Balls, Paneer, and Chicken Tikka were all spot-on. The starters were served piping hot—fresh off the grill—and were loved by all our guests. The main course menu was simple but delicious. Please check their smoked Butter Chicken; it was super yummy. They also served a decent range of accompaniments, including salads, sauces, dips, and Raita. Overall, the food quality and quantity were amazing for the price they charged.

Service: The service was exceptional. Everyone was super helpful and approachable, and all our requests were attended to without a second reminder.

Ambiance: While I personally love the old-world charm and open-plan seating, I can understand that maybe this is the only aspect the restaurant can work on for some upgrades.

This is one of the old place surviving in this popular lane. Remember walking though these lanes 6 year back, buzzing at night. A lot has changed, interiors looks slightly outdated. Simple transformation could have enhanced this existing ambience because the location and space is still good.

Being steak fan, wanted to try their Mushroom sauce steak. They serve it with salad, garlic bread and mashed potatoes or fries. For a steak the waiter doesn’t know the degree of doneness. No complaints, seems like a new guy. Plate does looks full in first glance. Veggies perfect quantity but when it comes to beef, it was extremely poor quality. Meat seems dry being in freezer for really long time. It was soft but meat wasn’t juicy, hoping this clarifies. Want to shout out to their mushroom sauce, literally made it bearable for consume it.

I would provide benefit of doubt, don’t think the place is bad. It’s not like all the folks show up for beef steak. Price are very reasonable. They are available on DineOut but not on ZOMATO pro, so price do drop even more.

This place need new lease of life, pubs have got innovative and lots of old pubs have massively improvised to connect with the younger audience and workforce coming to Bangalore. For now I would not recommend this place for good food but if you want something for reasonable price and beers, please go for it. Your group of friends would love it. Definitely has that old Goan...

Nothing much to comment on this place, as the whole experience was a very big DISASTER!!! Had heard about this place from a couple of friends and 4 of us decided to head to this place on a Saturday evening. The menu did have quite a range dishes mentioned. Also not to forget, this was the 1st menu where I saw the same dish being listed in different sections of the menu, with the same description but, here's the catch, with a different price. Of course the waiter did not have any clear idea about it when he was asked about that. Anyways we did order our food after a pretty long wait. We literally had to call the waiter a several number of times. Though there's a waiter just passing by you, he just wouldn't bother answering you. And as he passes he would just mumble 'that waiter'. After ordering a number of dishes ranging from Indian to Chinese to Continental, we had to wait for another long time just to get our food on the table. And the food was just TERRIBLE!!! And the service just went to get even more pathetic. Every time we asked for something - be it sauce or mayonnaise or the check, we were made to wait for an impatient amount of time.
