This place is a great concept providing you with a Yogi kind of an experience. I loved the way it's done - it makes you want to sit and work/study even if you don't need to. Just the vibes it gives out...definitely a spot I'd recommend if you'd like a peaceful place to get your thoughts together.
Impressively, they conduct Yoga classes and also house a tiny shop where you can, inter alia, buy yoga accessories and different kind of seeds and copper ware. I even saw some great pieces of jewelry!
The menu looks great. So much so that I wish I had more people with me so we could have ordered more variety and tried them all...but a girl can only eat so much!
I like the fact that the cutlery used is all copper/brass - just the look makes you feel you're eating clean.
This is what we had:
Lemon grass tea - was breathtaking. The aroma, the essence and the taste was soulful. This has always been my favorite infusion Orange Juice - Freshly squeezed and very refreshing Raw Vegetable Platter - something I was looking forward to and had to wait the longest for - It wasn't bad, but it didn't meet the hype I created for myself. The choice of vegetables were very ordinary and the cuts were a bore. The dips were healthy, you can just tell by the taste, but lacked flavor. We still enjoyed it because we are true foodies but then again, it didn't hit the spot. The hummus lacked flavor, the salsa was too mild and the pesto was SO yummy but was too runny. It wasn't a dip, was more like really thin sauce - my biggest disappointment. Nonetheless, vegetables with various dips - is something I would clean out, any day I saved the best for the last. The Quinoa bhel - was super, super delicious. A good portion of goodness and comfort made me all happy. You can relate the look and feel with Sabudaana khichdi minus the taste. This one is very subtle yet full of flavor.
The service was fine, nothing over the top but not...
Read moreMy recent visit to Yogisthaan Cafe left me quite disappointed. While I was excited to experience the spiritual and religious atmosphere they purportedly offer, my encounter was far from satisfying. I feel compelled to share my experience so others can be informed.
First and foremost, the service was remarkably slow. I understand the importance of a tranquil environment, but the snail-paced service tested my patience. I expected a more efficient service, considering that cafes generally strive to balance spiritual ambiance with prompt customer care.
Moreover, the authenticity of their religious claims came into question. The signage explicitly stated that ringing a bell would result in a complimentary cup of chai. However, after enthusiastically ringing the bell as instructed, I was left bewildered as the promised chai failed to materialize. This incident left me feeling misled and disappointed.
Adding to my dismay, the staff's behavior was quite rude. Considering the establishment's theme centered around spirituality, I expected an atmosphere of kindness and understanding. Sadly, my interaction with the staff was met with a surprising lack of courtesy and respect.
While I'm all for supporting unique establishments that offer something different, my experience at Yogisthaan Cafe was far from satisfactory. The combination of slow service, unfulfilled promises, and rudeness left a bitter taste in my mouth. I hope the management takes these aspects into consideration and makes necessary improvements to create an atmosphere that truly aligns with the values they claim to uphold.
In the future, I hope to see positive changes at Yogisthaan Cafe, ensuring a more genuine and satisfying experience for visitors seeking both spirituality and...
Read moreI am so disappointed with the food and service of Yogisthan and I had to post this so that people who are planning to visit this place would be aware. This used to be one of my favourite places due to the hot and healthy food. I was utterly disappointed with the service and the food that was served. As usual we ordered the potato hashbrown, panner paratha, alu paratha and lassi. I knew it would be a disaster when I saw the food. The lassi was served on a brass glass and it was smelling horrible, these metals need to be handled in way so that the smell doesnot over power the food. I got a horrible smell whenever I took a sip, also I am sure the curd was kept on an open vessel in the refrigerator and the lassi smelled like Refrigerator with onions. This is how my hostel curd used to smell like this. I also asked for a glass instead of a the brass glass and I was refused until I reached out again to another server. The parathas were probably precooked and stacked, we could see that it was not made fresh and served fresh. Likewise with the hashbrown, it felt like it was just microwaved and served. Not like how it used to be before the pandemic. We ordered masala chai too because my husband wanted to drink and however I was quite sure that the tea would be bad. My doubts were true when they served chai, it came in the usual matka. The tea seemed like it was over boiled and the same tea leaves would have been used. The chai was biter tasted nothing like the hit masala chai written on the menu. I’ve really loved this place and have been an advocate however it’s sad to see the quality of service and...
