Fork You — Restaurant in Delhi

So I finally marked this location on previous day with my friend. This is was in the wishlist for long time. It is one of oldest restaurant located in the HKV. It is located on the first floor of the building. I had started with their few range of drinks such as a watermelon juice, mojit and cranberry juice to kill the heat of this summer In the cocktails I liked the sunny side.. Perfect blend of sprits and cinnamon this is highly recommended too. In the Appetizer we had picked Cottage Cheese Fingers, Onion Rings platter nad Nachos. All were really terrific. In the signature item we had picked their burger. Smoked BBQ burger is very popular in the Fork You. It was one of best burger I ever had.. loved the quality and size as well Ambience is pretty cool you can spot some prop justifying the title fork you.. we saw a corset was made up of forks. We had received a food voucher from Zomato and to redeem this gesture we dined at Fork You on a Saturday evening.

Fork you is a widely discussed American food joint in the hep Hauz Khas Village. We ordered a Veg Patty Burger, Lasagna and a Shrimp soup.

The “Build your own burger” is one of their most popular items. We could choose our bread/bun (Sesame), cheese (Feta) three toppings (Lettuce, Jalapeno, Coleslaw) and sauce along with a side dish. We chose Onion Rings for side dish and Maple sauce. The burger was good but the patty was hot (spicy) for a burger. The maple sauce was surprisingly tasty.

The lasagna was very well made and the vegetable filling was fresh. We also loved the soup – tangy though… hot again.

We opted for “apple cobbler” for desert, but they were out of it.

What made our evening special was the rain, and that we were seated in the balcony from where we could see the Saturday night unfold...

On 10 Sep 2025 at about 8:00 PM I ordered only two beers (~₹2,000). A woman sat with me and apparently ordered separately — when I asked for the bill the club had (a) added her entire order to my bill, (b) inflated menu prices (many items charged nearly double the menu rate), and (c) wrongly applied VAT/GST across non-alcohol items, pushing the total to almost ₹20,000.

When I refused to pay for items I did not order or prices that were not on the menu, staff refused to correct the bill. They used a woman who started shouting and creating a scene to intimidate me, and staff threatened to take my phone/watch and use violence if I did not pay. I was forced to pay under duress.

I have attached the bill photo and transaction screenshots as proof and have reported this to police station — better avoid this...
