Visited this paratha shop on 9th Dec 2018 and tried their Paneer (Cottage Cheese), Aloo (Potato) and Hing Heera (Asafoetida & Cumin) paratha types. Note that these are kind of deep fried paranthas. To be frank I did not like any one of them. Even the ghee (they say it Desi ghee) they use gives a typical burnt flavor to the paranthas and the color of it was deep black. That burnt flavour completely suppressed the flavor of the stuffed items except for the hing jeera variant but it was again super salty and beyond something my taste buds could tolerate. Maybe you need to develop your taste to enjoy these paranthas so no offense for the individuals who likes these. One plate of parantha consist of 2 spicy curries (one aloo and other pumpkin) and one sweet churney and you need to take 2 paranthas which could cost you 120 or 140 rupees for the general variants. The owners does have attitude and you may face issue if you don't have change. In my opinion these paranthas are not even close to simple paranthas we had in Amritsar where It was amazing and full of pure ghee flavor with a dollop of butter will surely take you to heaven. I will personally never go back to paranthe Wali gali ever in my life. As this gali or the lane is very narrow the pungent smell of frying spicy paranthas around may cause temporary breathing issues...

This is the place you go - to pay homage to the big daddy of all paranthas. Not for the faint hearted, calorie counting, health conscious, cleanliness freak. This is the real deal. Situated bang in the middle of Chandni Chowk, this gali (bylane) is legendary for the deep fried goodies. Some of these shops are almost a century and a half old (circa 1870). Pt. Kanhaiya Lal Durga Prashad Dixit Paranthe wale is one of the popular ones. There are 30+ types of paranthas that you can get here. Apart from the usual dal, matar, aloo, gobhi, you will find obscure varieties like karela, rabri paranthas as well - beat that! You need to order a minimum of two paranthas. They are served with a variety of curries, pickles and chutneys. One can order sweet lassi in kulhad from across the shop to accompany the parantha. You will find photographs of celebrities adorning the walls - politicians and Bollywood legends alike. Limited seating, so you might have a short wait too. Pure vegetarian stuff. Non-vegetarian demography, try it - you will not be...

First of all sorry for the one star lets discuss why m so disappointed with paranthe wali gali . I came with my four friends in delhi for exams so we decided to have some breakfast near chandni chowk we asked some persons and they recommended us this gali. We entered the shop and saw the menu it was like 60₹ 1 parantha and only you can took 2 parantha that means u can't take one parantha so we decided to take 5 parantha which cost 300₹ after that we saw the parantha we shocked we are just like is that parantha (which is a little big as poori ) cost 60₹. I am not saying that the food was poor but if someone has came with high expectation but find nothing ..that is the...

Best paratha shop in Paratha wali gali in Chandni Chock Delhi. Very tasty many sabji and chatni are served here in this shop. This is very old and vary famous shop. Parathas are served of many types and taste is awesome. Lassi is very tasty with paratha. Many famous celebrity came here to taste this paratha. This is different from normal paratha at home and taste is amazing. It is fully fried in oil and masala used are of good quality. Sitting space is less as it is very old and famous place. People come here from very far places and cities to taste it. You will such types of parathas which you had never heard before. Try this when you come to Chandni Chock Delhi...

Prominent hotel in parathe wali Gali. Name a fruit/dry fruit/veggie and you will a find a corresponding paratha in the menu, starting from common aloo, gobhi to rabdi or mewa or bhindi paratha with chutneys, curries. I just felt it's over priced. Also it's all fried, than normal tawa paratha you would expect, and so it wasn't wow. It's a small place, and quite congested seating arrangement + you would find rush as parathe wali Gali is famous. This place was established long back. 5 minutes walking from Chandni chowk metro.

This lane is known for Stuffed indian breds, or popularly known as Paranthas. Ordered : lemon Parantha, Rabri parantha (sweet filled), Aloo pyaz parantha, paneer parantha - all were good paranthas, however over the wars the taste has changed so muh. And earlier paranthas were made on Big Tawa. Now they are totally fried like Poori. - paranthe vali gali is losing its essence. Buf would still recommend it for Foreingers. Staff: Little rude, and service is slow maybe because we were in a group and should have pre informed.
