Most lonely, saddest and spooky restaurant ever:
Frankly speaking, I like nothing about this place. My friends and I were supposed to go to Lha restaurant but waiting time was 45 mins.. so we decided to randomly walked in to any open restaurant and that’s when we came across “Ministry of Pork” and that’s the worst decision we ever made so far. The art that the restaurant is trying to translate and resonate is appreciated, but not well maintained, it smells dampened like it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time with no proper sunlight. Overall it’s uncomfortable and creepy and spooky.
Food : We ordered: Rice beer, momos, smoke pork and crab. We were hoping the chef might be someone who has vast knowledge about NE cuisine, understand taste buds from the like minded origin, bringing authentic taste and its culture in the food but it tasted horrible,, its a nightmare.. pork was still raw and uncooked, crab was already kept for so long that the meat tasted rotten.. i broke open the shell only to find some mold already forming underneath the flesh that I had to literally show it to the chef-
Then i came home sharing my experience with my sisters only to learnt that they had a very bad experience too.. if you wanna run a restaurant, run the restaurant with love driven by passion. Food is life, food is love and food speaks a lot more than you can imagine.. but it made us feel like the owner of this sad restaurant has shown no love, interest to revive the lonely cold ambience,, this is a dead soul .. this restaurant has no life— the moment you walk in you would feel like a dead lonely road leading to nothing and emptiness surrounding.. saddest restaurant ever..
Good bye to this owner: Either run with love and passion or shut down.. else deficit is not far away....

I recently visited a multi-cuisine restaurant offering Nepali, Chinese, and Indian dishes, and my experience was a mix of delightful and underwhelming moments.
To start with the highlights, I tried the bacon-wrapped sausages, which were accompanied by crispy French fries and a tangy barbecue sauce. This dish was absolutely delectable, with perfectly cooked sausages wrapped in smoky bacon—an excellent appetizer that set the tone for the meal. They also provided a delicious tomato chutney that added a refreshing burst of flavor.
However, the pork ribs fell short of expectations. The ribs were fried and coated with barbecue sauce but were overly fatty, making the texture unappealing. The preparation didn’t match the standard set by the starters, leaving room for improvement in terms of quality and flavor balance.
The ambiance, on the other hand, was stunning. The colorful interiors, inspired by Himalayan aesthetics, created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The warm lighting complemented the décor perfectly, adding to the cozy vibe. For those who smoke, the balcony was a thoughtful addition, enhancing the overall experience.
The service was courteous and attentive, though there’s room for improvement in communication between the management and the kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and greater customer satisfaction.
Overall, the restaurant offers a memorable experience with some standout dishes and an enchanting atmosphere. With a few adjustments, especially in food quality and management coordination, it could truly shine as a top-notch dining...
Read moreThis restaurant has an absolutely amazing layout, stretching the limits of cosy and stopping well short of cramped. Definitely worth a short visit just for the interiors.
Pork themed artwork all over; cheeky, varied and fun. The menu is extensive and the seating, diverse. A tiny smoking area and the largest table seats up to 5-6 adults.
The rest however is another story.
The menu certainly appears vast and enticing, if only the service supported it and the execution was consistent. Most items appear unavailable, and what's available is average for the area at best. The menu descriptions also do not properly describe the food. For instance, the menu may not mention it, but the dish you order may contain naga chilies, so it's better to ask for every dish. Also, the way a dish is cooked and served whenever you visit, might change the next time, so recommending this restaurant or the food is somewhat difficult.
Finally the service, which is reluctant, lazy, uninformed, inaccurate, unhelpful, unsmiling and overall a disservice to the restaurant and its patrons. I'd come back again and again if the service was anything close to helpful.
Apparently, the owners visit once or twice a month, which explains a lot. If you're the owner, visit more often please, ask friends to visit and take feedback. You have a good thing going; don't ruin it by being an absentee restaurateur (the worst sort).
Thumbs down, except for a quick visit to check out...
