Let me make somethings very clear. This is awadhi food. Know the difference between an awadhi biryani and Hyderabadi biryani or for that matter Malvani biryani before you come here expecting food which is high in chillies. The food has spice. Not the spice as in lots of green and red chillies but, spice as in cardamom, cumin, cloves etc. They make it very clear the food is not spicy here. Which was reassuring to hear as I went here to eat authentic Awadhi cuisine. We tried mutton galawati and kathal galwati. I was searching for authentic galawati kabab at Punjab grill(Please don't try at Punjab Grill in Cyber Hub). But then my bad as 'Punjab' grill should not even have galawati in menu. My search for authentic galawati in NCR ends here at 'Kitchen of Awadh'. For vegetarians there is Kathal Galawati. Very happy to see Kathal in menu in this new form. The biryani is full of aroma and not 'spicy' but aroma of spices. Rich and fragrant. I will definitely go there again and again!!
Update: March 2022- I guess they have buckled into the pressure of making spicy biryani and are making spicy biryani with lots of chilies in it. Very disappointed. Please provide a non chillies version...
Read moreWanna try some great food with great flavours of awadh then this amazing place is a must visit. The place is very well decorated with theme of awadh which really makes the ambiance royal. The seating is really comfortable with a variety of seating options to choose from. The place is easily accessible and you can reach out here very comfortably. In mocktails we had lime soda and panchamrit both the drinks were quite refreshing and every sip stood on it's own. Talking about food we had really makes my mouth watery. So we tried really great dishes with some signature dishes this place is famous for. In starters we tried the KoA special chicken tikka, galawat ke kebab and kakori kebab. The starters were delicious and lip smacking which really makes them a must try. In main course we had mutton Rogan Josh and ulta tawa The Chicken biryani we had at KoA was one of the best I have ever tried. Chicken biryani at this place is really something to crave for. The food was really great and worth every penny. My overall experience at KoA was really great and hope to visit this place again to try some other...
Read moreI am a Lucknawi and I cant seem to fathom the fact that some people claiming to be from Lucknow compare this to Dastarkhan, I can only answer them Lucknow style - "Wo swaad kya samjhenge, jo Idrish ki Biryani aur Rahim ki Nihari na samajh paaye". Cooking a balanced meat is more than art and this place has nailed it. You only need to taste a kebab here to fathom the depth of my point. This is not a place to find ambiance and uber sophisticated atmosphere, this is the place to just keep ordering and delve into the taste. If you are a meat enthusiast the owner also tells you how he made it (if he isn't busy). The only downside to this place is that it is unconsciously biased towards Vegetarians and some people might get offended if you plan to stick to it but if you want to make a switch, this...
