The Cakecity Patisserie — Restaurant in Gurugram District

I have ordered a custom mango buttercream cake for my husband's birthday and I got cheated in return. First of all, the mango was stale, the sponge was hard, there was no buttercream. I have been ordering from Cakecity through the online platforms and have had a good experience so far and hence decided to order from there. When I found out that the cake was made of regular flavourless cream, in place of buttercream and with a hard sponge, I called the cakecity salesman with whom I had placed the order and informed of the same . He asked me to bring the cake the next day after 2:30 pm so he could sort out the issue. I took the cake around 4 pm and he tries to cut it and it got stuck and then he pushed through. Then they accepted the cake was not upto the mark and decided to keep the cake to get it checked by the chef. Later, they called me around 7 pm , telling me that the blcake is good and would not replace or refund and that I can take back the cake.

In asking why it was not buttercream, he suggested that they have two ways in which cake coating is made and they do not tell the chef what to do.and stick to their standard procedure. This was not informed to me when i was placing the order. When I asked about stale mango, they had no answer.

Later on they told me to pay up for the material used for the lot in which the cake was baked and take a cake for the remaining amount.

When I asked why should I pay up for the other cakes baked in the lot, they said it was company policy.

These policies were not told to me when I was ordering. Afterall, i was just ordering a cake. Did not think, it would be such a harrowing ordeal for my husband and i.

Cakecity spoiled my husband's birthday and lost a loyal...

Totally a place which is not to be missed while searching good bakery/dessert shop. Yesterday with high cravings for some delicious desserts, I searched on Zomato and got to know about the place. I decided to order some desserts, one reason being it's beautiful packaging.

I ordered: ● Apricot Sunshine ● Belgium Chocolate Hazelnut ● Red Velvet ● Trio of chocolate mousse ● Cupcakes and ● Choco chip cookies

Can't describe in words what a bliss it was when I took a bite of BELGIUM CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT PASTRY. It was heaven. The flavours were very strong and delectable. I also loved the APRICOT SUNSHINE as it was something really new and different I have tried in a while. As beautiful as the cup cakes were looking, they tasted even better. The CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE had yummy choco ganache topping onto it. The cake was fresh and moist. BLUEBERRY CUPCAKE was best amongst all. The cake itself had luscious blueberry jam filling.

The cookies seemed fresh and were baked nicely.

Their packaging is beautiful to look at. I'm soon trying their other signature desserts too! Kudos...

The branch is in Galleria market and it is a beautiful little place with huge variety of pastries, cakes and cookies.
