Where do I even begin? My recent dining experience at "The Regretful Spoon" was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. From start to finish, it was a rollercoaster of disappointment and tasteless disasters.
To start, the ambiance was dismal. The restaurant's interior seemed like it hadn't been updated since the 1970s. It was dingy, outdated, and gave off an unpleasant odor. As I sat down, the uncomfortable chairs only added to the discomfort. My expectations were already plummeting.
The menu was uninspiring, offering a limited selection of generic dishes that lacked any creativity. I opted for the "Chef's Special," thinking it would be their pride and joy. Oh, how wrong I was!
The appetizer was a bland and unappealing excuse for a salad. The lettuce was limp and wilted, the tomatoes were tasteless, and the dressing lacked any hint of flavor. It was like eating a bowl of sadness.
The main course was an absolute disaster. I ordered the "signature" dish, which was supposed to be their highlight. But all it highlighted was their inability to cook a decent meal. The meat was overcooked to the point of being tough and chewy, while the accompanying sauce was an overwhelming mix of saltiness and greasiness. It was evident that no thought had been put into the dish's presentation or taste.
And let's not forget about the service. The waitstaff seemed disinterested and untrained. My server took forever to take my order and never bothered to check on me during the meal. I had to flag them down just to ask for a refill of water, which also tasted suspiciously like tap water from a dirty faucet.
To make matters worse, the prices were exorbitant for the abysmal quality of food and service. I could have had a better meal at a fast-food joint for a fraction of the cost. The only thing I got from this experience was an empty wallet and a lingering feeling of regret.
In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend "The Regretful Spoon" to anyone. It was a culinary nightmare that left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Save yourself the agony and avoid this restaurant at all costs. There are far better dining options out there that won't leave you feeling like you wasted your...
Read moreI don’t even know where to begin—calling this place a restaurant is an insult to food itself. Walking in, I was greeted not by hospitality but by a swarm of mosquitoes buzzing around like they had also made a reservation. The floor was so filthy that even the cockroaches seemed confused about whether to crawl under the tables or just claim them as their own dining spots.
And the food? If you dare to call it that—what landed on my plate looked less like a meal and more like an experiment gone wrong in a biology lab. The so-called “Ladakhi Kite Hen” was served with a suspicious stench that could knock out a hungry traveler from two tables away.
Trying a bite was a mistake. It tasted as though the kitchen staff had seasoned it with dust, neglect, and a generous sprinkle of hygiene violations. The mosquitoes clearly enjoyed it more than the humans—hovering constantly, competing for every bite.
The tables were sticky, the chairs wobbled, and I half expected the cockroaches to start charging customers for their share of the food. Honestly, the health department needs to shut this place down before someone confuses food poisoning with their house specialty.
Verdict: A disgrace to dining. If you value your health, your stomach, and your sanity—stay as far away as possible. Zero stars, only because negative stars don’t exist. The momos were not even the worth of money they charged . Totally inconsistent chutney and...
Read moreThe worst, don't go just because you saw the images of the place on Google coz those are how it use to be now it's in a tiny place, with three banches face to face, maybe coz of the corona situation they faced a huge loss I guess! Understandable, Well any ways, we drove from delhi to Gurugaram just to have an expirence of this place. First of all it was difficult to even find it, tucked in a corner. While we were there we heard some one sneazing up in the kitchen at least three times, god knows, if the person is following the Covid regulations. At that moment they were wearing a mask we don't know though they must be fully vaccinated claimed by the owner! And he wrote he had lots and lots of greenery around by that means I gues he is talking about the money plants I gues coz except that I didn't see any other greenery! And the momo was high on salt! Plus it's highly priced. I would not recommend...
