Jimmy's Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

Went to this place on a Sunday afternoon and apparently that’s just a bad time to visit any restaurant in McLeodganj. We only went for dessert, after peak lunch time. The place is small - it has only 5 tables. The tables weren’t cleaned. We got the outside tables which are right next to the main chowk in McLeodganj market (thus very loud and have a lot of pollution exposure). The tables were dirty. There was a drink spilled on the floor and food fallen on the seat and table and cigarettes in a bowl. We had to ask someone to come and clean it and even then it wasn’t cleaned properly.

We ordered some Chocolate truffle and carrot cake which were pre-prepared, and both of them tasted very good. Thus the two stars, or else it would’ve been one. Then we ordered a plate of waffles. We ordered banana waffles with chocolate fudge, and Nutella added on for some extra charge. We waited for SO long for the waffles. Finally when the waffles did come, they were terrible. They had banana and two scoops of vanilla ice cream and NO FUDGE AND NO NUTELLA. They were dry, chewy, and not very soft. The banana wasn’t sweetened by caramel or anything. We paid 350+ some extra charge for these waffles, regardless of the fact that two ingredients were just missing from the dish altogether. 13/2/25 🩷 We wanted to have chocolate truffle pastry, but that wasn't available, so we chose to have chocolate delight as it was the only chocolate pastry available that could get heated. 🩷 We asked to heat it to eat it warm, but when they served it, it wasn't warm; it was of normal temperature, and then we said again to heat it. 🩷 The second time they heated it, maybe at a high temperature, all the layers got separated, and the chocolate melted. Anyways, the pastry was delicious, and being warm, it tasted better. 🩷 1 chocolate delight pastry was of Rs 150. 🩷 The ambience is nice. We were on a trip to Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj was a part of it. While exploring the market of McLeod Ganj we came across this beautiful cafe and decided to try few things here.

Ambiance is excellent they have cozy vibes, good furniture and a wide menu to choose from and they have a variety of books as well of different genres so you can read one while having food.

Butter Tea - I wanted to try this from so long and it lived to my expectations, it was smooth and creamy and taste was subtle. I loved it.

Mocha - Could have been better.

Blueberry Cheesecake - It was good but I have had better cheesecake at other places.

Spinach and Cheese Momos - Flavours were good, you will taste all the things in it but main ingredient was spinach and it was semi cooked and tasted fresh.
