Chicha’s Asli Hyderabadi — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Extremely disappointing experience we had at your Chichas restaurant today after noon around 2.30 to 3.12 PM. My family and I visited for lunch and ordered a Biryani. However, there were foreign particles, hair, and flies present in every single dish served to us. This presents serious health concerns.  Initially, we found a hair follicle in the biryani rice, but it was overlooked by them. Later on, we found another hair follicle, this time in the raita.

Naturally, we raised this issue immediately with the staff. But instead of addressing the complaint or apologizing, staff argued that "such things will come sometimes" which is an highly irresponsible claim. They had no intent to take any action or address this lapse.

Finding insects, hair, and potentially hazardous unknown particles in food is unacceptable by any standards. As per FSSAI guidelines, this poses a violation of basic hygiene and proper food handling processes. I insist on a full refund for the meal and a written apology for this gross negligence. But they simply denied that and asked us to take it up with the FSSAI authorities. Just want to warn other consumers about the health risks at this premises.I would recommend choosing a hygienic restaurant instead of opting for a place that seems to be degrading in terms of quality of the food. I've been fan of Chicha's Lakdikapul for a long long time. I happened to visit this place for dinner with my teen kid. I must say I was really disappointed with the food quality. I'm not saying the food tasted bad, but, I paid 399rs for their spl chicken curry 6 pieces of bones with 10% meat. Not just that! I ordered for a chicken biryani, it Fortunately had good meat but 80% of the dish was just filled with ghee/oil. It was like wating premixed curry in rice. Also, I ordered for a chicken roll looking at the picture(attached for reference) and was surprised to see it was just a shawarma with no mayonnaise. Completely not what we expected.

It is heartbreaking to see so many negative reviews on the internet but I can Completely understand the other guests' plight.

Ended up spending 1200 bucks for just two members.

The only positive experience was the staff who attended us(pankaj). He was very warm and welcoming.

Overall experience, below average. Definitely not going to recommend this place to anyone just for the fact that they're taking advantage of the brand and feeding low...

Ok ok place. Service is good. Ambience is nice. Tried the indoor option - quite good. The stars are just for that. PS. This review is rated from a vegetarian stand point. If there was an option to rate the vegetarian food, it's 3rd class - absolutely 1 star or less.. Ordered veg biryani anticipating some decent flavour and accompaniments. Was no where close to being called a biryani. Reminded of the pathetic biryani kind of rice usually offered in cheaply priced office canteens. They may rather be better. Instead of raitha, plain curd with chopped onion was shared - what a pity for a place that claims authentic Hyderabadi flavors. Forget Hyderabadi, this is no where close to even being called Biryani experience. Try the place if you run out of options and need to find a decent place to fill your tummy. The saving grace was the salan and the masala cola. Volume of food offered for a plate is quite decent though.
