A True Masterpiece of Disappointment – Safire Restaurant, Kannur I always took pride in saying that Kannur serves great food in every corner. But Safire Restaurant has proved me completely wrong—what an absolute disgrace to Kannur’s rich food culture! If there were an award for ruining a meal and service in record time, these guys would be undisputed champions. Service? More like Dictatorship! Ever had a waiter decide your meal for you? Well, welcome to Safire, where you don’t order food—the waiter does it for you! We said, “We need porotta,” and he responded with, “Porotta and I will take Alfahm Peri Peri.” Excuse me, sir, are you taking the order or placing it for yourself? The way he rushed through everything made me wonder if he had a 100m sprint competition in the kitchen. He dropped a plate of paneer fry on our table like he was delivering a newspaper and ran off to the next table without giving a spoon or fork. And this wasn’t just for us—I could hear him running the same dictatorship on other tables too. Such consistency in bad service deserves a standing ovation! The Food – A Masterclass in How NOT to Cook Ayakkoora/King Fish Masala (1/5) – Kannur is blessed with fresh seafood, but somehow, these guys managed to turn it into a boiled fish disaster dumped in a tomato gravy. No fish flavor, just tomato curry with sad, lifeless fish pieces. A true insult to the ocean. Paneer Fry (1/5) – The paneer looked as if it had gone through a rough breakup—lifeless, dull, and questioning its existence. The masala? A crime against taste buds. Ghee Rice (2/5) – Oily, undercooked, and confused about whether it wanted to be rice or a greasy mess. Paneer Butter Masala (1/5) – If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to have paneer and gravy taste like two strangers forced into a relationship, this is your dish. A complete disaster. Porotta (3.5/5) – Finally, something edible! But when all the curries are disasters, what’s the point of a good porotta? It’s like having a great bat but no ball to play with. Live Food? More Like Live Experiment! I asked for fish gravy, and they proudly rejected it, saying, “Everything is live food, so no extra gravy.” Instead, they generously gave me a chicken gravy—which, ironically, was the best thing they served. So they do know how to cook, but only when it suits them! Final Touch – The Proud Confession! I raised my concerns with the cashier-turned-manager, expecting some apology or at least an excuse. But no, he proudly admitted to mixing boiled fish with gravy and using subpar paneer, as if he had just revealed a Michelin-star secret. Verdict: A Culinary Horror Show Safire Restaurant is a perfect place—if your goal is to waste money, ruin your appetite, and experience a waiter-run dictatorship. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Final rating: If I could give negative stars, I would.

Vey bad experience from the restaurant yesterday..I think the problem may be with the waiter...Two of us had food from the restaurant at around 9.40pm..We had ordered 2 chappathi,2parotta,1 green peas masala and two black tea..At the end since the curry was left over, we asked the waiter to parcel it..We had our food and gave a tip of 20Rs too...After washing our hands, we had to remaind the waiter multiple times for the parcel...And today, I just took out the curry for dinner and saw that instead of the green peas masala we asked to parcel, we have got some other gravy as parcel. It was so disgusting...Being a vegetarian I could not have it since I wasn't sure of to which gravy it was.I just had to quit dinner and stay hungry overnight..It was really a disgusting and horrible experince which I want the management and other customers to know..Since the bill was taken back by the counter staff from us, we dont have it with us right now..But I'm sure that the management could easily check the genuinity of my complaint through CCTV or through the billing details.I'm attaching my google pay screen shot and the photo of the gravy I had received as parcel...Its really horrible to treat customers like this

This restaurant actually found us before we found it! We were hungry on our way back from Mangalore, looking for a decent spot to eat—and just in time, we came across this place. We stopped in for lunch and ordered their fish biryani and beef biryani. While the rice could’ve been better, the quality of the fish and beef really stood out—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The service was quick and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Another plus is the ample car parking available—definitely a relief when you're on the road. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, which was a bit uncomfortable in the summer heat. But overall, it was a solid stop and a good experience. Wouldn’t mind dropping by again when in the area.

I always took pride in saying that Kannur serves great food in every corner. But Safire Restaurant has proved me completely wrong—what an absolute disgrace to Kannur’s rich food culture! If there were an award for ruining a meal and service in record time, these guys would be undisputed champions.

Service? More like Dictatorship!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sfire Restaurant in Kannur, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. Sfire Restaurant has truly set a new standard for culinary excellence, and it exceeded all my expectations.

The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a captivating ambiance. The decor is elegant, with a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail in the interior design truly reflects the restaurant's commitment to providing a memorable dining experience.

Now let's talk about the food—it's an absolute masterpiece! The menu offers a diverse range of delectable dishes that cater to various palates. Whether you're a vegetarian or a meat lover, you'll find something to satisfy your taste buds. Each dish is crafted with precision, using the finest ingredients that result in exceptional flavors. The presentation is a work of art, with each plate being a visual delight.

One standout dish I had was the fried rice , and it was a revelation. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the textures were sublime. Every bite transported me to a culinary paradise, leaving me craving for more. The chef's expertise shines through in every dish, and it's evident that they have a true passion for creating gastronomic wonders.

Apart from the remarkable food, the service at Sfire Restaurant is top-notch. The staff members are well-trained, courteous, and attentive. They have an in-depth knowledge of the menu and gladly assist in providing recommendations. Their genuine enthusiasm for ensuring a wonderful dining experience is commendable.

Sfire Restaurant also pays great attention to cleanliness and hygiene, which is of utmost importance, especially in these times. The establishment is impeccably maintained, and I felt safe and comfortable throughout my visit.

In addition to the fantastic dining experience, Sfire Restaurant also offers a great selection of beverages. Whether you're in the mood for a refreshing mocktail or a perfectly crafted cocktail, their skilled mixologists will impress you with their creations.

Overall, I cannot recommend Sfire Restaurant enough. It is a culinary gem in Kannur that deserves all the accolades it receives. The combination of remarkable food, inviting ambiance, excellent service, and attention to detail truly sets Sfire Restaurant apart from the rest. It is a haven for food enthusiasts and a must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

Thank you, Sfire Restaurant, for a truly memorable evening. I cannot wait to return and indulge in more...
