The most tastiest Chicken mandhi I hav ever tasted. The rice, moinis, tomato chutney and the mandhi chicken piece..This combo will blow out our taste buds. The mandhi rice, its well mixed with the chicken ghee and spices. They have added the spices in the correct propotion which is not more or less. The mandhi chicken piece is perfectly cooked and I cannot express the taste through just words here. You need to taste it yourselves.Rice is unlimited, you can have it until your stomach is full. Mionis and tomato chutney are the other tasty factors. The egg white - salt propotion of the mionis is so perfect and I havnt tasted such a tasty thick mionis from anywhere yet. I'm not a big fan of tomato chutney but sometimes I love it too. Apart from this, al faham and kuboos are also there in the menu. Alfaham also keeps it tastiness which made it one of the top alfaham spot in ernakulam. The crispy hot alfaham - kuboos - mionis combo is the best, I think. Cools drinks are also available there.. Good parking space. Good seating capacity also. Opening time is 12.00 PM and closing time is 10.00 PM except on Fridays (1.00 PM to 10.00 PM). Mandhi will be ready to serve from the opening time, but alfaham counter will only open at 3 pm. Take away option is also there.. Chicken Mandhi Quarter - 150 Half - 300 Full - 580 Al faham quarter - 110 Mandhi chicken piece alone - 90 Mandhi rice alone - 70 Extra mionis (Take away) - 10

Read moreThis place was just fabulous aleven a month back Now they are taking advantage of the parcel giving procedure. They are providing very little amount of rice as compared to older parcel days. In June when I bought Mandhi for 3, it was lavishly served in their parcel. We colud enjoy it with enough rice(little more for 3). But now what they serve is not upto that. Today on 18th sep, 2020 when I bought Mandhi for 4 what I received was just a packet full rice and that was less than what I used to get in my olden days( not even enough for 3 persons). And when I asked them to pack it differently ( atleast in 2 covers) he said it is not possible for a ful mandhi. And when I asked him to put 1 more packet of mayonise,, he just stared at me as of I'm asking that for fre. It was usually given extra if asked. And the quality of mayonise has degraded a lot. Rice is the only factor why we go there, but they are now so stringent in service. Not good chicken and mayonise has gone so bad. I'm not writing this to degrade their shop, but to others too to react so that they realise it and serve...
Read moreChecked out Al-Reem Mandi in Thammanam. I'd say Okayish.
Rice was oily and lacked that classic mandi aroma and flavour. Chicken Mandi and Alfaham Mandi are average. Tried the Peri Peri and Honey Chilli Alfaham too—just about passable. Alfaham could use more char and spice.
Ambience? No A/C and very limited space for dining. Gets stuffy if it’s crowded. Don’t expect a comfy dine-in vibe.
Menu is simple—only soft drinks and these mandi variants: • Chicken Mandi (₹190–₹690) • Alfaham Mandi (₹220–₹790) • Peri Peri Alfaham Mandi (₹230–₹890) • Honey Chilli Alfaham Mandi (₹230–₹890) (Meat-only options available too)
Portion sizes: Quarter (1 person) to Full (4 people), rice is unlimited depending on how many are eating.
Arabian Palace is a better choice any day—better rice, better flavour, better experience. Al-Reem is fine for a quick bite nearby, but not worth a detour.
